The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Sharon (Sharon Case) and Dylan (Steve Burton) will be awarded restricted visitation rights. This unexpected victory will be caused, in part, by his focus on Shylan’s overall actions during the last year. The judge will decide that Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) will be best served if he maintains contact with the people who he believed were his parents during the first year of his life.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) was moving toward a compromise offer before he went to court last week. Soul-searching, along with Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) defense of Sharon’s compassionate actions and Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) support of Dylan had an effect on Nick. But Victor’s (Eric Braeden) hardline advice and a misread situation that involved Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) at the penthouse, changed Nick’s mind.

Due to the judge’s perception of Nick’s mental state, he ordered a temporary restraining order against Shylan. However, the judge also opted not to render a final judgment regarding visitation rights that Sharon and Dylan were seeking.
An unusual wrinkle was also injected into the storyline last week, as Sharon was affected by Nikki’s pointed request. Her multiple-time mother-in-law advised that she should divorce Dylan if she truly loved him. Nikki believes that if Sharon makes the break then Dylan will have a better chance to gain visitation rights on his own.
The day after Sharon heard Nikki’s plea she told Dylan that they should end their marriage. To his credit, Dylan has stood by his wife and still loves this woman. He rejected her divorce proposal. For all her faults, Sharon is a good soul. Dylan’s spurning of her generous also underscores the strength of Shylan’s commitment to each other.
Christian’s allergic reaction to strawberry’s created another emotional flashpoint between Nick and Shylan this week. However, after seeing that his son was doing well, Nick relented and allowed his brother and sister-in-law (who is also his former wife) to spend some time with Christian in his intensive care room. Faith’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) call to her mom and kind-hearted comments to her dad at the hospital, along with Chelsea’s gentle nudge, combined to open Nick’s heart.
The judge in this case is taking note of all points made to-date. In particular, he’ll underscore the care that was offered to Christian by Sharon and Dylan through last month and that the people who were believed to be his parents have remained resolute in their concern for him through this crisis. Restricted visitation will provide a reasoned resolution to this surely soapy matter.
