The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, August 31, tease that Dylan (Steve Burton) will have a big decision to make. Adam (Justin Hartley) is on the run with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), but Nick (Joshua Morrow) has urged Dylan to let them go. It seems Dylan will find himself torn between being a father and a cop.
Dylan will gaze at a security pic featuring Chelsea’s getaway car and the license plate number. When Sharon (Sharon Case) arrives, Dylan will agree to take a break with her in the park. Dylan will open up about his dilemma. He would do anything for Sharon and Sully, so he can understand Adam’s need to escape.
However, Dylan also knows that there would be severe consequences for withholding evidence. He won’t want to put his career or family at risk by committing a felony. Sharon will agree with Nick’s point of view, but she’ll realize that Dylan has to make this choice on his own.
At Crimson Lights, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) will also be on Adam’s side. He’ll think Adam needs to remain with his son so Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) can live a peaceful life in Genoa City. Chloe and Bella (Cali May Kinder) can be free just like Adam.
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) will believe Adam needs to be punished for what he did to the guard. When Chloe agrees with Kevin’s stance, Mariah will think it’s odd considering her history with Adam. Nevertheless, Kevin will insist that it’ll be better for everyone if Adam stays off the grid.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Neil (Kristoff St. John) will clash with his family. Lily (Christel Khalil) and Cane (Daniel Goddard) will announce that they tried to see Neil’s mother, Lucinda (Nichelle Nichols). Sadly, she’s quite ill and the assisted living facility would only allow immediate family members.
Lily will push Neil to visit his mom, but he’ll maintain that it isn’t happening. Devon (Bryton James) will point out that forgiveness could be good for both Neil and his mother. Later, Neil will reluctantly agree to pay Lucinda a visit. In her room, Neil will approach Lucinda and reveal that he’s her son.
At the secluded cabin, Adam will enjoy canoodling with Chelsea and fishing with Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois). Chelsea will be so glad that they’ve been given this second chance. Unfortunately, Connor will come down with a fever. Chelsea will notice that Connor is tugging at his ear, too.
Adam will suggest that Connor has an ear infection and will need antibiotics. He’ll intend on turning himself in so Connor can be treated at the hospital. It seems Adam’s plans will soon go awry. He’ll end up getting shot with what appears to be a tranquilizer dart in Thursday’s episode. Yikes!
At the penthouse, Chloe will chat with Kevin about how empty the place feels. He’ll say Chloe should move in with him, but she’ll want to stay put for now. Chloe will give Kevin a little kiss as she tells him goodnight and thanks him for his kindness.
Meanwhile, Mariah will give Sharon updates on her discussion with Kevin. Sharon will argue that letting Adam go is for the best. Back at the police station, Dylan will decide to hand over the getaway car evidence to Paul (Doug Davidson). He’ll give him the news and they’ll prepare to move forward with the investigation.
It sounds like some exciting scenes are on the way. Y&R has plenty of surprises in store. Stick with the CBS soap to see all of the drama ahead.
