The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) will be shocked to unexpectedly learn that Sully is actually Christian. This will happen when she overhears her mom and sister talking in the cottage.
Sharon (Sharon Case) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) will try to convince Faith that she misheard this explosive information. But, she’ll reject their passioned pleas and run away from home.
Sharon believed Patty (Stacy Haiduk) was the greatest threat to her terrible baby secret. Recent phone calls from her were followed by a blackmail demand. Either Sharon was to help Patty escape from Stonevale, where she’s been held for the murder of Dr. Sandra Anderson (Elizabeth Bogush), or she would tell the world details of Sully’s true identity.
Mariah agreed to help her mom push off Patty’s request, which has created some additional planning time. But, Sharon’s latest loose conversation will prove to be her undoing.
Viewers recall that Faith recently bolted from Mariah’s sight. A planned celebration at Crimson Lights caused Faith to seek the services of Chelsea 2.0. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) quickly created a dress for the birthday girl, while also alerting Sharon that her daughter was safe. Soap opera fans know that various one-off sequences can telegraph into upcoming plot points.
Faith’s reaction will naturally put Sharon and Mariah into a panic. Generally, such a situation would result in both characters seeking help from as many people as needed. In this instance, they’ll be forced to conduct a search on their own.
Sharon and Mariah will know that they need to find Faith before anyone else does in order to attempt to allay her fears, or somehow neutralize her knowledge.
While he won’t know it, Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) case for full custody will be sealed through the dramatic events that will take place in Genoa City. Clearly, he’ll be furious when he learns how Sharon reacted after she confirmed that Sully was Christian.
That aspect of her behavior, combined with the position she put Faith in, will create strong legal grounds for Nick to become his daughter’s full-time parent. Of course, his reunion with Christian could prove to be temporary because Adam Newman (formerly played by Justin Hartley) is believed to be the real father of Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) baby.
Sharon’s latest inadvertent comments will serve to alienate her youngest daughter who will want to live with her father. While Sharon will lose the boy she opted to raise as her own, Faith won’t lose her half-brother. Instead she’ll just switch ends, now realizing that she and Christian share the same father.
