The Young and the Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Guilty Verdict, Victor Convicted, Gets 10 Year Sentence – The Moustache Goes to Jail

“The Young and The Restless” (Y&R) spoilers tease that a guilty verdict is coming down on a new episode this week – Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be convicted for his Marco Annicelli (Peter Bergman) antics and will spend some time in jail before he experiences a reversal of fortune.

Let’s face it, the argument he made acting as his own lawyer was that he played dirty, but did it for his ungrateful loved ones. Hmm. Guilty verdict coming in 3, 2, 1… But then what? We’ll get to see a month or so of “Orange is the New Victor” but we know The Moustache won’t languish long in jail.

The Young and the Restless spoilers know that Victor should appeal the verdict and what with Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) so obviously sabotaging Victor’s defense and not giving him the protections he’s entitled to under the law, it seems like it could be declared a mistrial or overturned on appeal easily.

A mistrial could trigger a new trial but Y&R wouldn’t ride that dead horse again (would they?). Seems like overturned on appeal as Michael is disbarred is the better way to get Victor out of jail in not too long a time. But we do want him to fester behind bars for a few weeks at least.

Why? Y&R spoilers say that gives Victor time to decide how to punish the ingrate Newmans for turning on him… What will he do? Can Victor regain his CEO seat at Newman Enterprises? Or will Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) have a lock on it by then?

Will Victor sabotage his own company to unseat her and take the reins again? Or could Victor start a new company? Are Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor done for good since he’s furious she testified against him? Plus, she did so with booze on her breath (nice that he called her out on that).

Y&R spoilers also show us prison physician Dr Meredith Gates (Alicia Coppola) starts her run in April which indicates Victor is in jail and either has a medical problem – or perhaps catches a beating – let’s hope the former, not the latter.

Wouldn’t it be exciting if the doc falls for Victor despite the orange jumpsuit? It would be a nice twist to see a new romance for Victor hatched while he’s behind bars… Just saying. Nikki off the wagon and the fact she contributed to Victor’s conviction looks like a D-I-V-O-R-C-E.

Victor portrayer Eric Braeden said in a recent interview that if he was writing the role, Victor would be done with Nikki for good. If he gets his way, that makes Victor wide open for new romance… That would be daytime TV worth watching.

It would also free Nikki up to get with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) who it looks like is going to lose his wife Phyllis Abbott (Gina Tognoni) to his brother Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) soon. That plus the upcoming character death teased in a Braeden/Bergman interview is all exciting news.

Victor’s verdict comes in on Wednesday March 30 and Coppola kicks off her stint as jail house doc on April 13. Braeden also said in a recent interview speaking as Victor “I own the jail” so even from behind bars, we know The Moustache will not stop scheming.

Update: Wednesday’s episode shows that Victor is found guilty and gets a 10 year sentence for his crimes!
