The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Victor (Eric Braeden) had Christian’s paternity tests changed. He made Adam (Justin Hartley) look like the father of Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) baby instead of Nick (Joshua Morrow). The Moustache took that inconceivable step to gain leverage over his namesake son, a fact that will eventually come to light.
The Young and the Restless spoilers remind fans that Victor responded oddly to Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) recently when she told him what Sharon (Sharon Case) had admitted about Sully, who’s actually Christian. He said that they should remain silent about Adam being Christian’s biological father because that’s what Adam would have wanted. What?
Flashing back: It was also strange when Victor began questioning Adam about Christian’s paternity. Some of those conversations took place during the period when Adam had been framed by his father for the murder of Constance Bingham (Sally Kellerman).
The Black Knight has often included psychological warfare as part of his overall battle plan when fighting an opponent. Of course, it’s crazy that he would consider his own flesh and blood as an enemy and then manipulate an innocent child’s life as part of his overall war game. But, that’s why one of his nicknames is Ruthless.
The Young and the Restless viewers recall that Victor remained incensed that Adam had opted to join forces with Ian Ward (Ray Wise) on the Paragon Project. That ill-fated computer virus was intended to destroy Newman Enterprises.
Adam’s seething rage against the man who gave him life was rarely as red hot as it was during that time period. Victor saw Adam as the ultimate problem child and reacted with an extreme form of tough love in response.
Whether Adam returns in the near future, or not, Chelsea believes that Christian’s paternity isn’t what people have come to believe it is. Plus, she ran to Victor just after Nick relayed the Sully reveal fallout to her. So, Y&R fans are understandably preparing for poor Nick to lose Christian at some soapy point.
However, Victor’s leverage might be broken if Dylan acts to retain some type of custody, or visitation, where Christian is concerned. Of course, Nick may take legal action as well. In either event, a court-ordered DNA test would then confirm that Nick’s legal rights are irrefutable and he is Christian’s biological father.
How Victor’s incredibly amoral past interference in this matters comes to light is another story. But based upon all past evidence, no matter what happens little, if any, lasting consequences would be applied to the patriarch of the ever-dysfunctional Newman family.
