The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers from a recent Sally Sussman interview confirm that Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will get a new man in her life and recent social media activity confirms her new guy will be Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) who’s coming over from The Bold and The Beautiful.
Deacon wasn’t seen often since Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) tried to murder him and he came up out of the ocean dripping seaweed. He got a few episodes here and there and then fell off the map. It seemed like Deacon might have fallen off the cast for good at B&B. But now CBS is swapping shows with him.
Remember a week ago that Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan) brought up Deacon out of the blue on GC Buzz? She said “Deacon Sharpe, former Genoa City resident, and one of Nikki Newman’s ex-husbands, has fled Los Angeles and taken his scheming to parts unknown…”
It’s not parts unknown anymore. It’s Genoa City. Hunky bad boy Deacon will hit town soon and Ashley is destined to be in his line of fire. Ashley desperately needs romance in her life since Dr Simon Neville (Michael E Knight) was cut from the show by Chuck Pratt prior to his exit from Y&R.
Ashley’s related to a chunk of most of the men in town so that’s troublesome and even though Stitch Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) are on the road to splitsville, Ashley has been there and done that and wouldn’t hurt Abby that way.
Travis Crawford (Michael Roark) is also a bachelor in town but he’s got his hands full with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and his former flame from NYC. A new man is required and Deacon is the guy to tempt Ashley into a new forbidden romance.
There are three signs that point to Deacon comes to GC to get with Ashley.
#1 Sally Sussman said in her interview with TV Insider that Ashley was one of eight main characters she wants to focus on and we all know Ashley has been an accessory to other plots lately, so she needs something of her own.
#2 Sean Kanan seemed to confirm that he’s coming to Genoa City when he retweeted a fan comment asking if Deacon is headed over to Y&R since there’s talk about him seemingly out of the blue on The Young and The Restless.
#3 Deacon’s name come up on GC Buzz and Hilary promised more on his “path of destruction” but then never brought him back up. They would not have dredged Deacon’s name up on GC Buzz unless he was coming to town!

Deacon is a good choice for romance with Ashley because he’s a bad boy. Ashley has been busting Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) and Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) chops over their bad romantic choices. It’s karmic for Ashley to make a bad choice so her brothers can hassle her.
