The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that the Sully secret will be revealed on November 1. The results of that bombshell hitting the Genoa City population via GC Buzz will be felt first by the person who intentionally chose to keep Sage’s (Kelly Sullivan) baby.
Yes, the one and only Sharon (Sharon Case). How long it takes this tormented character to recover has yet to be confirmed.
Some people never learn from their mistakes. Case’s character clearly is one of those misguided souls. November’s Nielsen Ratings’ Fall Sweeps period provides the right time for this extended baby-swap storyline to reach its climax.
But, a recap is in order for fans who may have missed one of The Young and the Restless Spoilers updates, weren’t able to watch every live broadcast, couldn’t time shift each scene through a digital video recorder, or stream all complete episodes.
Sandy (Elizabeth Bogush) liked Nick (Joshua Morrow) when they were teenagers. He invited her to a pool party at the Newman Ranch in the mid-1990’s. While there, Nick asked the swimming star if she would jump from the second story of his family’s mansion into the water below.
She accepted his offer and broke her neck. While a then dark-haired Moustache, aka Victor (Eric Braeden), paid for Sandy’s complete recovery, Nick didn’t have much contact with the girl who had a crush on him. That perceived slight resonated inside her head.
Sharon witnessed the incident described above, which Nick didn’t know until his ex-wife tried to blackmail him with that information in the mid-2010’s. This part of Y&R’s invented backstory was put before the arc where Sandy used Sharon as an unauthorized stand-in mother.
Dr. Anderson, who was both Sharon’s and Patty’s (Stacy Haiduk) psychiatrist at Fairview, sought revenge against Nick by taking the boy who she thought was his baby (Christian) and giving him to Sharon, unbeknownst to both characters. Nick and Sage were told their premature son had died.
Sharon was drugged into thinking she was pregnant and then given Christian as her newly delivered baby boy.
All of Sharon’s loved ones were kept away from the mental health facility during that time, including Dylan (Steve Burton). Shylan named their first-born Sully in honor of Dylan’s fallen military buddy and took him home to the cottage.
However, Sharon recovered her memories of what actually happened a short time later, had a paternity test conducted with an unauthorized sample of Nick’s DNA and believed that she confirmed he was the child’s father.
Sharon realized that Sully was Christian, but then opted to stick with the story Sandy gave her in order to keep her new family intact.
Meanwhile, Patty had been restricted to Stonevale’s institution for the criminally insane. That happened because she uncovered Sandy’s scheme, confronted her and was about to be drugged into retaliatory silence.
But, Patty murdered Sandy in an act of self-defense. Months later Patty’s mind settled and she contacted Sharon, demanding an escape plan be hatched or she would tell the world that a birdie (Christian) was never living in her nest.
Now, Paul’s (Doug Davidson) questions about Patty’s painting of the purportedly pregnant Sharon have spooked the woman in question just prior to All Hallows’ Eve. By the time All Saints Day arrives on November 1 in the United States, Sharon’s deepest fears will be realized.
Sharon’s secret will be exposed through the Internet where countless ghouls will spread this lie through the streets of Genoa City and across the globe.
