The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sharon (Sharon Case) will decide to nudge Nick (Joshua Morrow) in Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) direction. She already advised her ex to turn on the charm to make Chelsea more receptive to his help. However, it seems Sharon has plans to do some real matchmaking.
Sharon will recruit an excited Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) to assist her. They’ll agree that Nick needs someone special to bond with. That may be true, but shooting Cupid’s arrows toward Chelsea is highly inappropriate right now. Chelsea should take time to grieve. She’s obviously not ready for another relationship.
Chelsea isn’t going to get over Adam’s (Justin Hartley) death instantly. Likewise, Nick needed time to mourn for both Christian and Sage (Kelly Sullivan). Sadly, Nick probably won’t see what Sharon and Faith are up to. Poor guy has to have everything spelled out for him!
Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson), on the other hand, will certainly catch on. She’ll offer Chelsea a warning about Sharon and Faith’s matchmaking. Chelsea will brush off the idea, but Chloe will insist that it’s happening. She won’t want Chelsea to get stuck in their silly scheme.
The Young and the Restless fans know that Chloe is quite possessive of Chelsea. It’s actually kind of a bizarre obsession. You’d think Chloe would want to keep her distance in light of everything she did to Adam. Instead, Chloe is constantly hovering and pushing Chelsea to make choices she approves of.
If Chelsea and Nick get together, it seems like it would work in Chloe’s favor. Wouldn’t making Chelsea forget about Adam be Chloe’s best option? Perhaps Chloe is just nervous and doesn’t want anyone to get too close. Then again, maybe Chloe specifically doesn’t want Nick involved in Chelsea’s life.
If that’s the case, we have to wonder why. Is Chloe trying to break both Chelsea and herself free from the Newmans? That sounds logical. Still, there might be more to the story. We’ll just have to see if Chloe offers any hints along the way.
In spite of Chloe’s efforts, it definitely appears that we’re headed for a Nick and Chelsea pairing. It won’t come as soon as Sharon and Faith would like, but it’s undoubtedly coming at some point. Y&R spoilers say Chelsea and Nick’s friendship will grow in the coming months.
Nick can never resist rescuing a damsel in distress, so helping Chelsea cope is right up his alley. We’ve established that Chloe is controlling and capable of anything. What else might Chloe do to keep Nick and Chelsea apart? Chelsea may get suspicious if Chloe pushes too hard.
Once Nick and Chelsea are an item, this could get complicated. Sully will be revealed as Christian sooner or later. If Chelsea has fallen for Nick by then, will she keep quiet about Christian’s true paternity? Since Adam is gone, Chelsea might choose to stay silent. What Nick doesn’t know won’t hurt him.
Of course, an Adam Newman recast may be in the works. If he returns to find Nick canoodling with Chelsea, he might drop the baby bomb to shake things up. You can bet that Adam will do everything in his power to win back the woman he loves.
