The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor (Eric Braeden) will blindside Luca (Miles Gaston Villanueva) with a shocking move. He’s allowing Luca to locate Travis (Michael Roark), but the whole thing is a trap. Victor hopes to prove that Luca was behind the oil spills so Summer (Hunter King) will see his true colors.
It doesn’t really matter if Luca is guilty or not. Victor just wants to make sure there’s no chance this punk will become his granddaughter’s husband. Of course, Luca might catch on at some point. He’ll undoubtedly try to cover his tracks if dirty secrets start to leak out.

Nevertheless, we should remember that Hunter King recently dropped to recurring on The Young and the Restless. She’s been bumped up to a series regular on Life in Pieces, so Genoa City will be seeing less of her. Since most of Luca’s scenes are tied to Summer, we have to wonder what will happen when King’s airtime dwindles.
Maybe the plan will fail and Luca will manage to marry Summer. They might go off on their honeymoon and fade out for a while. Summer will be furious if she learns Victor, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) were all lying about supporting her. They’ve been plotting against Luca behind Summer’s back. She may need a break from her scheming relatives.
However, Victor usually succeeds when he focuses on a mission. He may be able to show Summer just how conniving Luca is. If Victor can’t prove Luca was behind the oil spills, perhaps there’s another crime he could frame him for.
The Young and the Restless fans know that Victor convinced Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) to hand over the diary pages. Victor has a couple of goals on his mind at the moment. He wants to get Adam (Justin Hartley) off the hook and he wants to stop Summer from tying the knot with a sneaky Santori.
Could Victor kill two birds with one stone by framing Luca? In order to secure Adam’s freedom, Victor needs to show that his son was set up. He doesn’t have to find someone else to pin Constance’s (Sally Kellerman) murder on. Victor just has to make it look like Luca was the one who framed Adam.
By leaving a trail of clues, Victor could easily turn Luca into a believable culprit. Y&R viewers will recall that that Luca had an ulterior motive when he started dating Summer. He wanted to climb the corporate ladder at Newman Enterprises.
Luca was clearly trying to make Victoria look bad while she was CEO. Victor could make it appear that Luca wanted to get rid of Adam, too. He might suggest that Luca was afraid Adam would decide to take the Newman throne after all.
If Victor chooses this route, it might convince Summer that Luca is bad news. It could drive them apart and get Adam back home where he belongs. Unfortunately, Justin Hartley is busy filming This Is Us for NBC. His airtime at Y&R is about to decline.
Does that mean Victor’s scheme will hit a snag? Adam will likely be released eventually, but it may not be as soon as any of us hope. We’ll give you updates on Adam’s fate. Stay tuned and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news.
