“The Young and The Restless” (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is entering a new phase of Young and Restless drama in the coming episodes this week and next week. Victor will face arrest and a trial for his Marco Annicelli (Peter Bergman) shenanigans as well as a physical collapse that lands our hero in hospital. Most of Genoa City, including his own family are thinking The Moustache is getting what he deserves at long last. It seems like the end of Victor’s reign of terror.
But don’t count Victor out just yet. Y&R spoilers indicate that not only will Victor not be sent to jail, but he’ll turn this whole circumstance around and rise like a phoenix from the ashes. The big question is how can he accomplish this?
The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that his case will go to trial. There is at least one Newman trial set for March based on a casting search for a judge – but that could be for Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) or Victor. But don’t look for Victor to resolve his legal situation with blackmail or another trick.
Subterfuge and dirty dealing won’t work because Victor has two issues right now – one is the legal accusation for what he allowed Marco to do to Phyllis Newman (Gina Tognoni) and the second is with his family.
It looks like Victor has no Newman left on his side. Even Summer Newman (Hunter King) will turn on Victor once she hears what he had done to her mother. If Victor cuts corners to evade trial or get a slap on the wrist sentence, he’ll still have to deal with his angry loves ones.
In order for Victor to come out of this intact, he’ll need to put himself at risk to do something for the greater good. What could it be? Perhaps Genoa City will face a threat that only Victor can deal with…
Or Victor may have evidence against someone dangerous that he’s never used because to do so would put him at great risk. No matter the specifics, Victor will lay his life on the line to save others and that will change the whole dynamic of the situation.
Victor will not only not face jail, but will have earned back the trust and respect of those he loves. Even though they may not be able to see it, Victor does always truly believe that he’s acting in the best interests of his family, they just can’t always see it.
In this instance, though, Victor’s best intentions for those he loves will be clearly on display – he will redeem himself and put an end to the trial. And yes, he did target Phyllis and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) with Marco, but if he can save them as well, all of that could be water under the bridge.
