TV Guide: NCIS Episode 300 Exclusive Sneak Peek, Mark Harmon Insider Secrets – Chris Carter Reveals X-Files Fate

The March 7-20 double issue of TV Guide currently on the stands features the wildly popular drama NCIS – which will be celebrating a major milestone this month – and the series’ 300th episode is set to air on CBS on March 15.

Over the years NCIS has become the highest-rated drama on network television, so it is only fitting that TV Guide is celebrating the show’s monumental 300th episode with an edition of the magazine dedicated to the landmark episode – and Mark Harmon on the cover.

The all new TV Guide cover also teases inside information on whether or not Michael Weatherly is really leaving the show, plus details on whether or not Ziva David is returning!

Mark Harmon has played the part of Leroy Jethro Gibbs on NCIS since the drama began in 2003 – and he has become a household name. Since NCIS skyrocketed to super fame, Mark Harmon has become one of the highest paid actors on television.

CDL got a sneak peek of TV Guide’s interview with Mark Harmon, along with some other fan favorites from the NCIS cast – Michael Weatherly and Pauley Perrette.

The cast of NCIS gets very candid in their interviews with TV Guide, and Harmon reveals something very interesting – they almost didn’t name his character Gibbs! Can you imagine NCIS without Gibbs?!

Harmon dished to TV Guide, “When I first read the script, the name “Leroy Jethro Gibbs” got me. It was just different. Then, after I expressed interest in the show, the character’s name changed to Bob Nelson or something. I actually got vocal about it. I liked that name!”

As always TV Guide keeps readers up to date on all the news on our favorite television shows, including a tribute from the cast members of Downton Abbey on their final season of the beloved show.

Also, there will be a sneak peek at the Season 4 premiere of the critically acclaimed spy drama ‘The Americans’ on FX – which is a must read. Plus inside info on T.R. Knights’ (Grey’s Anatomy) new Hulu drama, ’11.22.63.’

But, the piece everyone is buzzing about in this week’s edition, aside from the obvious NCIS tribute, is an exclusive interview with ‘The X-Files’ creator Chris Carter – where he will be revealing the fate of the sci-fi drama’s recent revival on network TV.
