Big Brother 19 spoilers are just starting to roll in with a little more than six weeks until the June 28 two-hour BB premiere. CBS released a preview with clips from Seasons 15-18, including the digital season, Over The Top. Julie Chen said that CBS hopes to revamp the Big Brother series because the series has gotten a little stale over the past few season.
Chen agreed with the Big Brother fans that the show has become too predictable. She also said that in recent seasons, there were no big blindsides or power moves. Julie believes BB19 will be action-packed and full of drama.
Russell Hantz, best known for his Survivor stints, posted to Twitter that he believes that he has what it takes to win Big Brother. Of course, that started the speculation that he was cast on Big Brother 19. There is no doubt that he would be good for BB ratings. If you remember, Hantz was the player who could find the hidden immunity idols without a clue. Knowing his luck and brains, he would find a diamond power of veto without a clue.
There was some talk on Facebook about Russell and if he was blacklisted from CBS. Several years ago, his brother appeared on Big Brother. He ended up being kicked off the show for allegedly pulling a knife someone. Russell cleared up the rumor and said that his family is not blacklisted and HAS been contacted by CBS for “other shows.” Of course, this just added to the speculation that Hantz will be on Big Brother 19.
Caleb Reynolds, who was a fan-favorite from BB15, was eliminated from Survivor (for the second time) on day nine a few weeks ago. Reynolds assured his fans on Twitter that his reality TV journey is not over. Many took that to mean that he would be coming back to Survivor, but what if, he’s coming back to Big Brother this summer.
Robyn Kass, Big Brother casting director, has been teasing the fans that this summer will be a season like no other. Let’s suppose that it will be another all-star season, but with a twist. What if, they are planning to bring The Amazing Race, Survivor, and Big Brother players to compete for the $500,000 grand prize.
If that’s what CBS is cooking up for BB19, Russell Hantz tweet makes perfect sense. Just imagining Russell on Big Brother is enough to get you excited for the new season of the number one summer reality series. Check out the promo and let CDL know what you think.
