Was Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce caused by James Haven? Documentary filmmaker Ian Halperin apparently has some inside knowledge into Brad Pitt’s relationship and breakup with Angelina Jolie, because he alleges that Brad’s relationship trouble with Angelina stemmed from Angelina’s closeness to her brother, James Haven.
Ian Halperin dished to Radar, “James was so close to them that he was actually living with them. It put Brad over the edge.” There have been rumors circulating around Angelina’s closeness to James for several years now, especially after their infamous lip lock at the Oscars. However, sources close to Angelina have denied the rumors several times, claiming that they are just that – rumors. In fact, those close to Angelina claim that James is one of the few people that Angelina trusts unequivocally, even if that put a strain on her marriage to Brad.
Ian’s claims support other rumors about Brad’s jealousy in the past, not necessarily in relation to Brad’s jealousy over Angelina’s connection to James, but the fact that Brad wanted to be the sole father figure in his children’s lives. With James always around – and as another central figure in Angelina’s life – he perhaps felt that he wasn’t that, which may have been a source of conflict between him and Angelina.
Of course, we now know that Brad’s drinking problems and lack of anger management were also two major issues between the duo, and ultimately, Angelina just couldn’t turn a blind eye to the many problems plaguing their relationship – whether Brad’s jealousy over her brother was one of them or not.
Also, it’s one thing for people to make claims about Angelina Jolie’s relationship and breakup with Brad Pitt, and it’s another for those claims to be accurate. There is still a lot of secrecy, hearsay, and rumors floating around about the cause of Angelina’s and Brad’s breakup, and it seems like every new report coming out contradicts the last.
