Camilla Parker-Bowles just can’t win when it comes to Princess Diana. There are new reports that suggest Camilla still feels haunted that she will never be the Queen of Hearts the same way Princess Diana was when she was still married to Prince Charles.
For years Camilla Parker-Bowles haunted Princess Diana during her turbulent marriage to Prince Charles. She was often called the third person in their marriage as she refused to back away from Charles. Camilla was a constant presence in their marriage, whether Diana agreed to it or not.
And now it seems as though the tables have turned. Princess Diana passed away twenty years ago in a horrific car crash, yet her name still makes headlines to this very day. For Camilla, this is absolutely frustrating. Even though she’s been married to Prince Charles for well over a decade now, she’s often compared to his ex-wife. Unfortunately, a lot of critics believe that Camilla just doesn’t have what it takes to be the Queen of Hearts that Diana once was.
If that weren’t enough, Prince William and Prince Harry barely even pay any attention to her. Camilla just celebrated her 70th birthday and both William and Harry weren’t there for her birthday party.
Even though Camilla Parker-Bowles is enjoying more popularity now than ever before, she’s still not the A-list star and celebrity that Princess Diana once was. Diana knew how to light up a room and was always the center of attention wherever she went, whether it was a royal engagement at Buckingham Palace or at a children’s hospital or charity event.
Many critics believe that Camilla simply doesn’t have the same charisma or even beauty that Diana had. That’s why the public isn’t calling her the Queen of Hearts or the People’s Princess. She’s just Prince Charles’ wife, and that’s it.
No matter how hard she tries to soften her public image, many royal observers believe that Camilla Parker-Bowles will never be another Princess Diana.
So far Camilla Parker-Bowles has not made any public comments about Princess Diana. And while Princess Diana might forever be remembered as the Queen of Hearts, Camilla will have a more important title: the future Queen Consort of England, whether her critics like it or not.
