‘Dance Moms’ Feud: Abby Lee Miller Slams Replacement Cheryl Burke

Abby Lee Miller and Cheryl Burke are already feuding. Dancing With the Stars’ Cheryl Burke is set to replace Abby Lee Miller on Dance Moms. Since Abby Lee Miller is heading to prison soon, she had some choice words for the upcoming lead instructor. Cheryl Burke already made headlines when she stated that the young dancers on the show have been “traumatized” by Abby Lee Miller.

Abby Lee Miller was sentenced to 366 days in federal prison for bankruptcy fraud. Cheryl Burke talked about the new teaching plan she had created for the girls who were left “traumatized” by their former coach. Now, Abby Lee Miller said that Cheryl Burke “needs to watch her mouth,” in a new interview with Us Weekly.

Abby Lee Miller blasted Cheryl Burke’s claims that she scared the poor young girls. She insists that she had a child advocate, tutor, or social worker there on the show with her. She claims that she didn’t leave the girls “traumatized” with her outbursts and outlandish behavior.

Abby Lee Miller then dissed Cheryl Burke for being on Dancing With the Stars for 19 seasons. According to her, dancing on a show for three weeks is nothing like teaching on a show for seven seasons. She said that being on a dance competition show is not the same as teaching young girls how to dance. She implied that Cheryl Burke doesn’t understand how the job gets more difficult long-term.

The DWTS pro was asked to help finish the seventh season after Abby Lee Miller left the show in March 2017. Cheryl Burke teased that she has big things in store for the young dancers. She felt like she finally has a brand new and supportive teaching plan in place.

Cheryl Burke told Fox News that the girls are “precious” and that it’s a shame what happened between them and Abby Lee Miller. She also said that she will still be strict, but in a more gentler approach.

Burke revealed that the young group of dancers are extremely “talented.” She wants them to continue to “have the right head on their shoulders” and not feel insecure about their dancing abilities. It sounds like Abby Lee Miller has put them through a lot.
