Simone Biles & Sasha Farber – Samba – “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child (VIDEO HERE)

Len: You did promenade runs and you fixed a spin in there, that shows how much control you have. Lots of Samba in there. Overall what a great start to the show. Bruno: One thing is certain, your future is set in gold. You’re really not a child anymore, you’re a young woman glowing in confidence. Carrie Ann: That was so sexy in the way that it should be, sexiness is owning everything that you are. It was all there. Nick: This is how you start the show off is with a performance just like that! You are a powerful woman.

Scores: Carrie Ann: 9 Nick: 8 Len: 9 Bruno: 9 Total: 35/40

Bonner Bolton & Sharna Burgess – Rumba – “I Want It That Way” by Backstreet Boys (VIDEO HERE)

Len: In Rumba you got to show more emotion, your lines were good, the bits between the lines could have been more fluid. Well done. Bruno: Listen, there is one thing, Rumba is hard for men. You have to do a continuous movement, it was a bit jagged. Carrie Ann: I appreciate you took the note from last week, I am really proud of you for that. I loved the fact that you were in synch together. Solid Rumba! Nick: Honestly, I can’t be more proud of what I just saw on the dance floor. Bonner, I think that you have to find a way to let go.

Scores: Carrie Ann: 8 Nick: 8 Len: 7 Bruno: 7 Total: 30/40

Nancy Kerrigan & Artem Chigvintsev – Paso Doblé – “Free Your Mind” by En Vogue (VIDEO HERE)

Len: Nancy, don’t doubt yourself. You’re a terrific dancer, just accept that, come out here and just dance. Bruno: I am shocked and appalled, I thought you were a lady, and you unleased the beast tonight! If something goes long, you lose your shapes, never lose your shaping! Carrie Ann: That was amazing! I am so excited because I feel this is the first time that you have ever tapped into this power. Nick: Wow! Wow! Wow! I love this Nancy Kerrigan, my mind is blown, you have freed my mind.

Score: Carrie Ann: 9 Nick: 8 Len: 8 Bruno: 8 Total: 33/40

Nick Viall & Peta Murgatroyd – Jive – “Fun, Fun, Fun” by The Beach Boy (VIDEO HERE)

Len: Jive has to be fun and freedom. I wasn’t picking up a lot of good vibrations if you want to be honest about it. It was entertaining though.  Bruno: It was fun in the sun. One foot was in Malibu and the other was in San Francisco. Jive is all a lot timing and foot placement.  Carrie Ann: What I really do love is you coming out of your shell. Unfortunately, in the Jive, we need the right tone in the feet.  Nick: If there is anyone here who fits the profile for being in a boy band it’s you. You got the looks, you got the girl, but you gotta work on the moves a little more.

Scores: Carrie Ann: 7 Nick: 7 Len: 7 Bruno: 7 Total: 28/40

Normani Kordei & Valentin Chmerkovskiy – Salsa – “When I Grow Up” by The Pussycat Dolls

Len: I thought that dance showcased what a great dancer you are, but it didn’t showcase what a great salsa dancer you are.  Bruno: I think you melted all my wiring and blew my boxes. That is a performance from someone who is in it to win it. You nailed every move!  Carrie Ann: When I grow up I want to be like you even though I am 20 years older than you. Every move you do, you stick it, you know exactly what you’re doing. Nick: You have what it takes to take this all the way. Just stay the course and don’t look back, you got this!

Scores: Carrie Ann: 10 Nick: 10 Len: 8 Bruno: 10 Total: 38/40

David Ross & Lindsay Arnold – Argentine Tango – “I Want You Back” by *NSYNC (VIDEO HERE)

Len: The problem with this show is you get frustrated because you can’t do the steps. Plus, this week is a double whammy. With all that pressure, I thought you did a marvelous job.  Bruno: So stunning, so mean, a man on the mission to get the job done and you nearly did it. You nearly dropped her. If you do a lift, it has to be floating and weightless.  Carrie Ann: You don’t seem yourself and it’s hurting me. I know you went for a true Argentine Tango, I feel like you gave up halfway through. Nick: I have to ask this question. N’Sync or Backstreet Boys? I can tell that you are a fighter, in everything that you have done in your life. I thought it was your best work.

Scores: Carrie Ann: 7 Nick: 8 Len: 7 Bruno: 7 Total: 29/40

Rashad Jennings & Emma Slater – Tango – “Reach Out, I’ll Be There” by The Four Tops

Len: You had to do the Tango, I appreciate that you stuck in hold and you showed us a proper Tango. You got a little bit excited so you lost some control. Bruno: When the going gets tough, the tough gets winning! So strong and so driven, you wanted to show us what you got, and you got plenty of talent.  Carrie Ann: Oh my gosh, I loved the beginning. When you came down and got into hold, thank you so much, you’re dancing with style and technique. Nick: On this show when it comes to athletes, they can be really good or kinda so-so. Tonight you elevated yourself to the level of elite.

Scores: Carrie Ann: 9 Nick: 10 Len: 9 Bruno: 9 Total: 37/40

Heather Morris & Maksim Chmerkovskiy – Rumba – “Waterfalls” by TLC (VIDEO HERE)

Len: Welcome back Maks, lovely leg action. I loved the speed, whip it, wait a minute, then back cool. It was a knock out dance, I loved it. Bruno: It was like watching Kim Bassinger in Dancing With The Stars confidential. No man can resist you, look at her! Played like a star danced like a champion.  Carrie Ann: By far, hands down, your best dance. There was a difference in you tonight, you were grounded, well done. It was stunning! Nick: That was my favorite dance of the night. You were elegant, you were beautiful, and you told a story. It was amazing.

Scores: Carrie Ann: 10 Nick: 10 Len: 10 Bruno: 10 Total: 40/40

Before we get to the group dances, it’s time for some results. It’s boys against girls. According to America’s votes and the judge’s scores – Team Boy Band is safe and will be moving on to next week. That means that Normani Kordei, Nancy Kerrigan, Simon Biles, and Heather Morris are in danger of being sent home tonight.

TEAM BOY BAND (VIDEO HERE)

Bonner Bolton, Nick Viall, David Ross and Rashad Jennings will dance to a medley of “Dancing Machine” by Jackson 5, “You Got It (The Right Stuff)” by New Kids on the Block and “Best Song Ever” by One Direction.

Len: That was full of gimmicks and crowd pleasing moves and that’s what you gotta do if you are going to beat the girls. It was plenty of fun. Bruno: Each and every one is ready to go solo. It was the most fabulous mess I have ever seen, I was literally crying, than you very much. Carrie Ann: You guys were fantastic, my favorite part was the group session, that Magic Mike session you guys did pay off. There was one person that missed their staging, Bonner, but I didn’t expect it to be so good. Nick. Get the record deal going, let’s record some music, you guys missed your calling. You guys were great, I loved it.

Scores: Carrie Ann: 8 Nick: 9 Len: 8 Bruno: 8 Total: 33/40

TEAM GIRL GROUP (VIDEO HERE)

Simone Biles, Nancy Kerrigan, Normani Kordei and Heather Morris will dance to a medley of “My Boyfriend’s Back” by The Chiffons, “No Scrubs” by TLC and “BO$$” by Fifth Harmony.

Bruno: Girl power is alive and well and still kicks ass! You’ve done it very very well, I spotted something. Did somebody go wrong? Something happened…Carrie Ann: Honestly I was underwhelmed, you guys are all so incredible and I expected you to be so fierce. I feel like it didn’t come together as a girl group.  Nick: I have no idea why the girls are in trouble tonight, in my opinion it was amazing, it was well choreographed. Len: The quality of dancing was probably better than the guys, but I found the guys more entertaining.

Scores: Carrie Ann: 8 Nick: 9 Len: 8 Bruno: 9 Total: 34/40

Now, it’s time to learn who will be going home tonight. According to the judge’s scores and America’s votes – Simon and Sasha and Normani and Val. Nancy Kerrigan and Artem are also safe.

Heather Morris and Maks are officially eliminated from DWTS.

THE END!
