It looks like viewers are going to see plenty of new faces for Season 24 of ‘Dancing With The Stars.’ Reports indicate that fan favorite Derek Hough will not be returning to the show although his sister Julianne Hough might surprise viewers by coming back as a judge.
So does this mean that it’s out with the old and in with the new? That might be the case. In fact, Executive Producer Rob Wade confirmed that Derek Hough will not be returning to the show. He also says that Julianne’s return is a possibility, along with Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Mark Ballas. But nothing is confirmed yet. Peta Murgatroyd, meanwhile, is also being considered even though she just gave birth to her first child, Shai, with her partner Maks.
It’s without a doubt that ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 24 is going to be full of surprises. As far as this season’s contestants, producers are still keeping the final line-up under wraps. Spoilers indicate that actor and comedian Russell Brand, ‘Storage Wars’ star Barry Weiss and even ‘Property Brothers’ Jonathan Scott might make their way on the show as new contestants.
Many fans wouldn’t be surprised to see ‘The Bachelor’ Season 21 headliner Nick Viall make his way on the dance floor, too. Many ‘The Bachelor’ and ‘The Bachelorette’ stars make their way on the show every season. Insiders say Nick Viall wouldn’t miss his opportunity to continue making headlines with the show.
Producer Deena Katz says casting is only half way done for Season 24. But she does say that viewers can expect a lot of patriotism this season. She told Glamour Magazine, “I feel like the state of the country right now is we’re really going toward what people love; we’re going to nostalgia, we’re going to Americana, we’re going to heroes.”
‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 24 returns to the ABC network on March 20th. The show will be celebrating its 400th episode and according to producers, they promise lots of nostalgia.
