She was reminded of what she said 30 years ago and how things have changed since then. Find out the interesting reason she stayed heavy in her early career.
Anyone looking at DePaiva would assume she is confident. However, acting is a tough business and even early in her career, she knew that. Not knowing if she would be successful or not, she intentionally stayed on the heavier side. In May 1987, she explained her reasoning.
“… if I failed, I could blame it on my weight, not because my singing or acting wasn’t good. I was really afraid, lonely and having trouble adjusting to the fact that I really was on my own. I was surrounded by beautiful people and constantly wondering if I was good enough.”
Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that it was a surprising answer. Kassie DePaiva is beautiful, strong and seems confident. Fast forward to today, and the actress talked to Soap Opera Digest how she feels about her previous interview.
“I will still stand by that, and that’s where I was at the time. With age comes wisdom and comfort, but I still care a lot about what I do.”
The actress added that she is more comfortable with herself these days. Fans have to agree that she has a lot to be proud of. Not only is she beautiful and strong, but is a cancer survivor. She battled her illness like a warrior and opened up about her ordeal.
