Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) will have a hard time getting his life back on track. He’ll be happy that Will’s (Chandler Massey) alive, but that won’t solve his problems. Lucas has had a bottle in his hands for months. He’s guzzled drink after drink, so kicking this habit won’t be easy since it’s now a physical addiction.
DOOL spoilers say Will’s memory loss won’t help the situation. When Will appeared to Lucas in a vision, he scolded his father for drinking and pushed him toward sobriety. Of course, that was all in Lucas’ head. It was just Lucas’ way of acknowledging that he had a problem.
Unfortunately, the real Will doesn’t feel a connection with Lucas or his other loved ones. He’s met plenty of nice people, but he doesn’t recall the moments they’ve shared together. That could be difficult for Lucas to handle in this fragile state. His son’s back, but not how he expected.
Sami’s (Alison Sweeney) been in the same boat, but she’ll continue to choose other coping strategies. Lucas is the one who’s relying on a dangerous crutch. Next week, December 4-8, Days spoilers say Kate (Lauren Koslow) will try to get through to Lucas again. She’ll hope he’ll listen now that Will’s in town.
Kate will feel confident that Will can regain his memories. She’ll contend that even if he can’t, Lucas needs to sober up so they can make some new ones. Kate will think this is Lucas’ only shot at truly reconnecting with Will.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Kate’s next suggestion will surprise Lucas. She just won’t believe he’s capable of helping himself anymore. Lucas could really use professional assistance to ditch all the alcohol. Kate will urge Lucas to check himself into rehab, but he’ll undoubtedly balk at the idea. He may not even want to quit drinking anytime soon.
Kate won’t know what else she can do, but Sami won’t give up on Lucas. Days fans can expect Sami to deliver another dose of tough love. She’ll insist that Lucas should get serious. It’s time to put the bottle down and be there for Will. Sami will want Lucas to understand that Will needs his dad more than ever.
It may not seem like it yet, but Will’s inching toward a breakthrough. It sounds like Lucas will have one, too. Will Lucas finally listen to Kate and Sami?
