Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Eileen Davidson is headed back to the NBC soap. It’s clear that Days is pulling out all the stops to get the show on the right track. Viewers are certainly gearing up for the action under DOOL’s new head writer, Ron Carlivati. He’s sure to deliver some fun in Salem, especially this fall.
TV Insider spoke with a Days of Our Lives rep about Davidson’s comeback. They confirmed that Davidson began filming on June 5, which means her scenes will air during November sweeps. It sounds like an exciting storyline is on the way.
The rep wouldn’t share which role or roles Davidson would be playing, but we can probably guess. It’s tough to imagine Davidson agreeing to return for a plot that didn’t include Kristen. She won a Daytime Emmy for portraying this devious DiMera. Fans are already going nuts over all the drama Kristen could bring.
Besides, Days could use another DiMera in the mix. In fact, they just might get another one. We can’t forget that Kristen injected EJ (James Scott) with a mysterious substance after his death. She was undoubtedly preserving his body so Dr. Rolf (William Utay) could work his magic. Dr. Rolf is also coming back, which means EJ probably won’t be far behind.
There’s been some buzz about a possible EJ recast. If James Scott were returning, it seems like DOOL would’ve shared that by now. That’s OK though. Sami (Alison Sweeney) could easily reunite with a new version of EJ. As long as they get a solid actor, Days can pull off this recast.
Since the rep wouldn’t confirm Davidson’s “exact role or roles,” perhaps that means she’ll play more than just Kristen. Most of us would like to see EJ’s mom, Susan Banks, again. She’s always a hoot! Whatever the case, Days of Our Lives definitely has some juicy stuff in store for us.
Kristen was presumed dead after Marlena (Deidre Hall) accidently tossed her out of a castle window. That could spark an epic revenge scheme. It appears Will (Chandler Massey) and EJ have managed to cheat death as well. Ron Carlivati loves campy storylines, so you’d better buckle up!
As for Eileen Davidson, she may not be around too long. This stint won’t mess up her Young and the Restless schedule. Still, we’ll take anything we can get!
