Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Paul (Christopher Sean) will make a jaw-dropping discovery. It sounds like Paul will spot Will (Chandler Massey), which means trouble’s brewing. Paul knows how much Sonny (Freddie Smith) wants to track Will down, but the details of all this could be pretty complicated.
Sonny will likely still be recovering in the hospital when Will makes his first appearance in the flesh. Paul may not want to upset Sonny and risk any kind of setback. He might think he should wait until Sonny’s feeling a bit better.
Plus, Days spoilers hint that Will won’t be the same man he once was. Before this DOOL storyline kicked off, there had been some buzz about brainwashing. We also know Susan (Eileen Davidson) is involved and a room will be found that belongs to “EJ.”
It’s possible that when Will was brought back to life, some or even all of his memories were missing. Susan might’ve had a clean slate to work with. She could’ve brainwashed Will into believing he’s her son, EJ. Stranger things have happened on Days of Our Lives.
However, we shouldn’t expect Will to have the exact same swagger and personality. We certainly shouldn’t expect him to have the same taste when it comes to romance! EJ (James Scott) was quite popular with the ladies, especially Sami (Alison Sweeney). Days probably wouldn’t risk the outrage of changing Will’s sexuality and they definitely wouldn’t make him attracted to his own mother. Gross!
Still, Will may have a new name and he obviously has a new life. That’s what this potential plot point boils down to. Paul might speak to Will and determine that this guy doesn’t remember Sonny at all. Part of him may fear that this news would tear Sonny apart.
At least that’s what Paul could tell himself. Deep down, Paul will likely be dealing with some insecurities as well. He realizes that the second Sonny gets updates, he could lose his fiancé for good. Unfortunately, Paul could be sabotaging himself by keeping the Will sighting a secret. Sonny is going to feel betrayed when he finds out Paul hesitated to give him this crucial information.
All of this will just make Sonny more convinced that Will’s the person he wants to be with. Of course, getting Will back to normal won’t be an easy task!
