Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Stefano’s (Joseph Mascolo) last airdate will arrive on February 9. When Mascolo passed away, it left everyone wondering what would happen to his character. Days fans couldn’t bear the thought of having a Stefano storyline without Mascolo’s involvement. The plot would lose its punch without seeing him in the flesh and a recast certainly wouldn’t do.
Thankfully, we later learned that Mascolo taped a few more scenes before his death. Days of Our Lives viewers will want to tune in on Thursday, February 9. Mascolo will cap off his run as the sneaky DiMera patriarch. It looks like Stefano will face some tough questions in Prague.
Despite his capture, Stefano will be in good spirits. He’ll don DOOL’s usual jailhouse denim and grin mischievously as he sits in his cell. That’s probably because Stefano has a scheme of some sort. Perhaps he has connections that could serve as his ticket to freedom.
Next week, Shane (Charles Shaughnessy) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) will get a huge shock. This might be linked to the great escape that’s brewing. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Stefano will simply vanish! It’s nice to know that Stefano will get out of this mess. He’s a ruthless villain, but he’s far too smart to go down like this.
Luckily, Rafe (Galen Gering) will have the evidence he needs to clear Hope’s (Kristian Alfonso) name. The judge will look over the new proof soon. Rafe just has to get back to Salem to make sure everything goes according to plan.
Days spoilers state that Lt. Raines (Aaron D. Spears) will have trouble calling off the manhunt. He’ll still view Hope as a dirty cop, but the facts don’t lie. Stefano wasn’t murdered and Hope shouldn’t have to serve a sentence for a crime she didn’t commit.
Many Days of Our Lives fans have pointed out that someone was apparently killed that day. After all, Hope and Rafe got rid of a man’s body. However, it’s entirely possible that Stefano ordered his minions to kill a guy. They may have swapped him in for Stefano while Hope sat on the floor having a total breakdown.
Whatever the case, there’ll be enough confusion to get Hope off the hook entirely. As for Stefano, he’ll live out the rest of his days enjoying chess and opera. This will be a bittersweet farewell for DOOL viewers, but at least we’ll get to see Joseph Mascolo play Stefano one last time.
