Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal the Winter Olympics may cause temporary changes to when the soap airs. Televised sporting events are always a concern as fans wonder if DOOL will air or not. Although it is a bit early, we do have some information on what to expect.
The Winter Olympics will air in February 2018 on NBC, the same network that is home to Days of Our Lives. Spoilers confirm that the daytime series will air during the sporting event. However, there is a chance that it won’t be at the regularly scheduled time. It depends on where you are located.
The Winter Olympics will air live from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET. Due to the time zones, that means there will be an alternate airing schedule for some people. Specifically, those in Pacific and Mountain time zones will see it air at a different time for two weeks. Fans that live in the Eastern and Central time zones should still see the Salemites at the regular time.
When alternate schedules were implemented in the past, the soap was moved to the next available time slot. Most of the time it has either been one hour behind or one hour later. Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that is probably what is going to happen this time. However, nothing is confirmed yet.
Television schedule adjustments can get tricky. However, there is still a few months before the big sporting event. There is lots of time to make the schedule shift go smoothly. Let’s just be thankful that the soap isn’t being preempted.
The 2018 Winter Olympics will be set in Pyeongchang, South Korea. The global athletic event kicks off Friday, February 9 and ends on Sunday, February 25.
As the Winter Olympics gets closer to airing, more information will be released. In the meantime, keep watching the NBC soap and check back with CDL for the latest Days of Our Lives spoilers, updates and news.
