Emerald City begins tonight with the Wizard’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) guards searching for the young witches. Eamonn (Mido Hamada) ordering all girls must be seen by the medic; and all people must return to their homes, shut the doors or death will come to all of them.

Eamonn tells the Wizard that the people are scared and he says it is good because they only revolt when they are angry. The high council is locked in a room and Eamonn asks what he will do with them, Wizard is unsure but tells him to kill anyone who tries to leave.

Lucas (Oliver Jacskon-Cohen) and Dorothy (Adria Arjona) stop in a field to let Sylvie (Rebeka Rea) and Toto run around. They talk about Sylvie being free and Lucas too, except he is serving someone named Glinda (Joely Richardson). Dorothy reveals she is protected by the Wizard because he knows her parents, but Lucas says Glinda thinks he is bad.

Lady Ev (Stefanie Martini) and Jack (Gerran Howell) travel back in their carriage. Jack says he is sorry for her loss, she says he wasn’t her loss he is her father and he didn’t die, he was murdered. She asks why he is talking, and everything he says is wrong; that everything about him is wrong. She demands to know about Tip (Jordan Loughran), but he says Tip hates her like she does.

Lady Ev says she has no sympathy for him; yesterday she was a princess and today she is an orphan and a queen all at once and what does it matter that a girl hurt his feelings. She stops the carriage and tells Jack to get out, leaving him behind in the muddy ditch at the edge of the screaming forest.

As Lucas gathers water, Toto begins to bark and they frantically search for Sylvie as wolves descend on her. Dorothy screams and her hands become gold and ruby, causing a shockwave, chasing the wolves away; Dorothy falls to the ground.

Back in the wagon, Dorothy is angry the witches took her hearing, but Lucas says it was lucky for her since she learned a new trick. Dorothy admits she didn’t even think about it and just did it; Lucas says she is learning control.

When they arrive at the house, Elizabeth (Roxy Sternberg) told them about, Lucas goes inside to check it out while Dorothy and Sylvie play a game. Dorothy removes the things from her ears, promising to protect her. She teaches her to focus on one thing, and she does; Lucas calls her saying he doesn’t want her to get hurt knowing she will have to give Sylvie up.

West (Ana Ularu) is having a nightmare of a huge wave falling over witches killing them when the Wizard demands to see her. Tip tries to stop him to no avail. One of his guards attempts to touch Tip, who pulls a blade on him saying she isn’t that kind of girl. Wizard asks West to come and single out the witches among the girls he has gathered. West says she will not kill the witches and repeat the past when she helped Glinda kill them before.

Wizard tells her Glinda wants to kill all those witches like the last time but he wants to help her save them. West says if she finds them, he needs to give them over to her care with the promise to protect them. He gives her his word.

Dorothy tells Lucas he is right, she doesn’t want to give Sylvie up, especially since Glinda isn’t her mother. Lucas says this is how the world works, but she disagrees. She asks if they can keep her from Glinda and protect her; neither of them wants her in a war that can kill her.

West meets all the girls from the village, confirming none of them are witches; assuring the Wizard when he finds one he will know. The guards continue their search of the village. Two of them try to apprehend one and she floats in the air and all the windows of the building explode with fire.

Jack struggles to walk through the screaming forest, his metal rusting from the muddy water in the ditch. His screams for help go unheard.

Sylvie asks Dorothy if she has a mother. She explains that Em (Holly Hayes) is like a mother to her, and one day she will find her mother but until then she isn’t alone. She kisses Sylvie’s forehead wishing her sweet dreams.

Lucas says he will take first watch, Dorothy reveals the guards are not coming because the Wizard is trying to help her and if he is working for Glinda, then they are not on the same side. He tells her there is only one person he fights for since the moment they met, and they share a sweet kiss.

The Wizard comes to the burning house and is told both guards and the girl are dead. West says she is not dead if she is a witch, Tip tries to stop West from entering the house but she does. West comes out of the house with the young witch. Wizard orders his guards to seize her but when West tries to protect her the villagers insists she’s to die.

West feels guilty for promising to keep the girl safe and leaving her behind, admitting that is how she killed all her sisters, she gave them milk of a poppy to forget their pain and then she sent them out to fight and none returned.

Jack is stuck standing in the forest when he sees Lady Ev laughing at him. She has returned with some oil to free up his parts and get him moving. She finishes and although he creaks, he is able to move around and everything is working properly.

Dorothy and Lucas wake up in bed together with Lucas asking what they should do now. He says they can live there forever and screw the witches and forever beast. Dorothy says she is going home soon; if she can convince Glinda to not destroy the Wizard, he can take her home.

Lucas is shocked she made a deal with the Wizard and allow him and Sylvie to love her when she plans on leaving. She tells him to stay there and keep Sylvie safe while she goes to see Glinda. He doesn’t want her to leave him and Sylvie and confront Glinda, something she knows nothing about.

He then accuses her of being afraid of what “us” means and that she thinks they will leave her just like her mother did. She says she has to go back to Em and Henry because they came first. Dorothy tries to leave and learns the house is locked, the house turns upside down as Dorothy screams for Lucas and Sylvie.

When the house stops on its side, Lucas and Dorothy find Sylvie vibrating in her bed. Dorothy realizes Sylvie is doing this, she is stopping her from leaving after she heard them fighting. She stops when Dorothy asks her if she would like to come to Kansas with her, and tells Lucas it isn’t running away if he comes with them. He jokes to Sylvie that he is the man of the house.

Lady Ev and Jack arrive home, where she learns her father’s suite is now hers. She shares memories of when she was younger about playing with her father’s crown; but it was just a game and not something she wanted. She begs him to stay and he sits on the bed beside her.

She says her father is the only one who has seen her as she truly is. She begins to remove her mask but he stops her saying he does see her. They kiss and she begins to undress.

Wizard tells his people he lied to them about their daughters and he is ashamed of that. He releases the girls to their families and tells them that last night his beloved council made the ultimate sacrifice. Elizabeth admits she was Glinda’s only spy and the rest are innocent. Wizard says they all made the sacrifice willingly but he chained them all and killed them. He tells the people that witches are the beast forever. Tip walks away from the crowd to see the pit, where they all burned.

West and Tip take the young witch and lay her in the field, as she shakes West said she was too young and that exhausted her magic. Tip offers the dagger to use but West says she breaks her vow to ease her suffering and asks her to forgive her. West covers her face and releases her spirit saying she is free. A blue streak flies up in the sky.

West asks where Tip got the dagger, she says it is hers. West says it was King Pastoria’s and handed down to his daughter. Meanwhile Lucas stops Dorothy asking what her plan is. She says she is willing to kill Glinda to go home, and she knows how to use her power if she wants something bad enough.

They enter Glinda’s palace, finding it completely empty. As they walk in further, the door seals behind them. Glinda thanks Dorothy for returning two very important people to her; Dorothy says she is not returning them and its up to Lucas and Sylvie if they want to stay. Glinda scoffs at the names she has given them. She says she is sure they have a lot of questions and she will begin to answer them.

Glinda kisses Lucas, which brings back his memory and he kisses Glinda again; telling Dorothy Lucas is not his name. He asks for leniency for Dorothy as she has saved his life and reveals she was there to kill Glinda. He apologizes to Dorothy saying they came first.

THE END!
