Tonight on FOX their blockbuster drama Empire airs with an all-new Wednesday, December 13, 2017, episode and we have your Empire recap below. And, amidst the chaos, someone’s life hangs in the balance.”

Andre has taken the stage, singing at a special Empire event while everyone he loves is there except for his father. He stops singing, looking for Lucious. He is twisting and turning in bed. It was all a dream. He is in the hospital, restrained with Lucious beside him. The doctors are waiting for the psychotropic drugs to work their way out of his system. Lucious vows to Andre that he will get revenge.
Diana is with her team discussing the Captain’s Ball she is throwing later that night. She wants security at the ready to throw out any unexpected guests. Angelo is having doubts about throwing the ball with the blood bad between them and the Lyons. Diana sees it has an event that will differentiate them from that terrible family.
At the Empire event, Eddie sits down to play and sing at the piano with Lucious, who dedicates the song to Cookie. Later, Thirsty comes in to see Cookie, Lucious, Hakeem, and Jamal to report to them about the ball’s security. Thirsty leaves after giving them the details and finds Becky crying. He makes a joke about her hormones. She slaps him. He hands her his handkerchief and asks who the father is.
Jamal is cooking in the kitchen when Warren comes in from the front door. Jamal grabs a knife and asks him how he got in. Warren wants to tell him to be careful. He wants to know what Diana is up to. Jamal tells him to save it. Warrant ells him he really was in love with him. He tells Warren to get the hell out. Warren turns to leave. Jamal changes his mind. He does want to know what Diana is up to.
Angelo heads out of an office and gets into his limo. He is surprised to see Cookie driving and Lucious getting in next to him. They take him for a drive and stop in an alley. Lucious takes him out of the limo and tells him to sign a confession stating that Diana kidnapped his granddaughter and made his son work against his own family. Angelo tells him he won’t. Lucious punches him until he is bloody on the ground. He signs it. They drag him back to the limo.
Lucious and Cookie make their way in with Angelo, getting past security. Diana sees Angelo and wants to know what happened to him. He has blood on his tux and a swollen eye. Music interrupts their conversation. Lucious and Cookie have taken the dance floor and have grabbed everyone’s attention. When they are done, the audience claps. Hakeem and Jamal take the stage. They announce what Diana has done and announce that they will pay tribute to her with a song. Diana is frantic. Angelo tells her there is nothing they can do. Cookie laughs in Diana’s face. The orchestra is their people. She must have failed to run a security check on them.
Diana tells Angelo that they are leaving. Cookie stops her. They have one more act she needs to see. Cookie takes the stage to announce that they will video in Diana’s nephew, Warren.
Warren comes on video all beaten up. He tells the crowd about his aunt, the kidnapping and more. Cookie chimes in, explaining what Diana has done to her family. The crowd is in shock.
Hakeem comes to see Anika. He has evidence that she knew where Bella was when she claimed she didn’t. He hands her a piece of paper and tells her to sign it. She cries and begs him not to take Bella. He tells her that he wouldn’t take his daughter from her mother, but the BS has to stop. She signs it. Hakeem takes Bella and leaves.
A member of the crowd sides with Cookie. Diana gets angry and begins telling Cookie how lowly her family is. The police come in. Diana points to Cookie and tells them to get her. They are there to arrest Diana for kidnapping.
Warren answers the motel door thinking it is Jamal. It is an angry Angelo with a gun. He waves it at Warren. Jamal comes in. Angelo shoots Warren in the shoulder. Jamal fights Angelo for the gun. They wrestle back and forth. The gun goes off. Angelo slides to the floor holding his stomach. Jamal calls 911.
Lucious and Cookie head out of the ball. He asks her if they will ever be the same again. She tells him she wants to take things slow.
Eddie is leaving Empire. His ex-comes running in frantic. She asks him if it is true. He doesn’t know what she is talking about. She tells them they are broke. Their money was wrapped up in a Ponzi scheme. He tells her he will take care of it. Luscious and Cookie have asked him to stay on.
Luscious goes to visit Andre in the hospital. Shyne is there. Luscious asks him how he knew where Andre was. Shyne tells him they became friends and squashed their problems. Shyne leaves. Andre tries to tell Luscious something. Luscious leans in closer and suddenly stuck in the neck with a needle. He wakes later to Claudia.
