‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7 Spoilers: Premiere Date Revealed In Bizarre Live Clip

It looks like winter is actually going to be here next summer. ‘Game of Thrones’ fans have something to celebrate as new reports indicate that the HBO show will be returning July 16th. In fact, producers of the fantasy drama series have revealed the Season 7 premiere date with an elaborate, if not bizarre live stunt.

‘Game of Thrones’ will be returning to the small screen mid-summer rather than in April. But before the announcement was made, fans had to spend over an hour watching ice melt in a bizarre clip that was streamed on a Facebook Live. Many fans couldn’t help but wonder what was going on during the clip as it malfunctioned several times, leaving Facebook users many utterly confused.

At one point, Isaac Hempstead Wright and Lena Headey appeared during the live feed for a few seconds to urge fans to leave a comment. The clip then stopped working and malfunctioned several times. It took well over an hour of countless starts and stops before the Season 7 premiere date was revealed.

Despite all of the glitches, fans are still excited about the upcoming season. Actress Sophie Turner hinted that her character might be coming back for both season 7 and 8. Sophie plays young noblewoman Sansa Stark. Because she did so much for Jon Snow and the North, she is finally going to be recognized for her contributions. If that weren’t enough, actor James Broadbent also gave fans a major hint about his Season 7 character. Calling himself an “old professional character,” many fans believe that he might be playing Marwyn or even Ebrose.

Plus, things aren’t looking so great for Brad, according to Isaac Hempstead Wright. And that’s because he’s literally between a rock and a hard place. He recently told Entertainment Weekly, “Bran is in the same position he’s in, which is kind of like, ‘What am I gonna do? What’s gonna happen?’ Is he gonna tell Jon? Is he gonna find anyone? Is he even going to make it past the Wall? He’s only with Meera now, and he’s out in the middle of nowhere, so it’s not looking great.”
