General Hospital spoilers (GH) ask if All My Children Stars Eva LaRue (Dr. Maria Santos) and Jill Larson (Opal Cortlant) will join the cast of General Hospital? While Susan Lucci was guest hostess of the Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family program she and regular program hosts Mark Steines and Debbie Matenopoulos brought onto the show Eva LaRue, Jill Larson and other soap stars formerly on AMC.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that both Eva and Jill let slip in an interview that they would love to reprise their previous roles on General Hospital. After a long legal battle, Prospect Park’s lawsuit has been dismissed and ABC now has regained all rights to both All My Children and One Life to Live. This move means characters from both shows could visit Port Charles at some point in the future.
As we all know Frank Valentini announced recently that One Life To Live’s Hillary B. Smith would be reprising the role of Nora Buchanan on General Hospital. Eva LaRue’s character Dr. Maria Santos might not be far behind. As a doctor (and a sexy one at that) she would fit right in with the current GH cast.
Maria could easily be paired with several of the handsome leading men on General Hospital. It really is time for Sonny (Maurice Benard) to move on from the Carly (Laura Wright) back and forth. He and Maria together would steam up the screen. Maria could also join forces with Tracy (Jane Elliot) in her quest to save the hospital.
Jill’s Opal Cortlandt was one of the zanier characters on All My Children and always offered comic relief, something sorely lacking in Port Charles recently. While Opal was in the ladies who lunch club by the end of her All My Children Days, a down on her luck Opal working in the Quartermaine mansion would be very entertaining. Both Reginald (Stephen Kay) and Alice (Laura Lynn “Bergen” Williams) are gone with the wind. Opal could really liven up the place.
