General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Dr. Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) confession as to which twin was which would explain Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) frightening dream of having his nephew, Jake Webber (Hudson West) in a choke hold. At the time, Jake was believed to be his son with Liz, but Jake is actually his nephew, his twin brother, Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) son. It was a scene that had many, many GH fans in an uproar, but who is to say it wasn’t a harbinger of what’s to com?
ABC soap opera General Hospital has always been at the forefront when it comes to bringing current social issues to the light and mental health, including PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), is playing a huge role when it comes to Andrew “Drew” Cain, who has just been revealed to be a Navy SEAL.
When Drew saw the photo of himself in his Naval uniform, did it trigger something? PTSD can be triggered at any time, and the sufferer could have mild to extreme reactions. Although some fans have been conflicted over the twin story line, who could not help but feel compassion for Drew as he learned that his life and only memories he had were a lie?
General Hospital spoilers suggest that Drew is struggling within, as he fights to find his own memories. How could he not feel frightened, or lost? He has no clue who he is now, nor what his entire life has been like before he became Jason Morgan in his mind. Everywhere he looks, he will see Jason’s face and see Jason’s memories.
Drew has already been showing major signs of mistrust and insecurity. Look at when he questioned his wife, Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco), on whether she believed him – and when he went to see Dr. Monica Quartermaine, his adopted mother, and asked her where they stood.
He’s lost people he thought were his best friends, like Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), who quickly turned their back on him, like the past 4 years didn’t matter. On top of all that, we have seen how explosive he can get – could all this be too much for Drew and drive him over the edge, causing him to become far more explosive than we have ever seen him and a danger to those around him?
GH fans, how do you feel? As Drew fights to reconcile with his past, will he put others in danger and will those memories cause his PTSD to make him more erratic, endangering the lives of the ones he loves, and especially those he doesn’t?
