General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Brooklyn Rae Silzer, who portrays sweet Emma Scoprio Drake, has chopped 8 inches off her gorgeous hair for a worthy cause, she donates it to charity through Pantene’s Beautiful Lengths campaign.
The kind-spirited 11-year-old, Brooklyn has played the character of Emma since mid-2011 until January 2016 when her entire family, Dr. Patrick Drake (then-Jason Thompson) and her mother, Dr. Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) left Port Charles. Emma is mentioned quite often and comes back on special occasions.
The last time we saw her on General Hospital was in May when her and her very pregnant mother, came to Port Charles to surprise her grandmother, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) just in time to attend General Hospital’s Nurses Ball.
It is no surprise that Emma immediately figured out that the woman they ran into at the airport was not her grandmother, but in fact her evil twin, Alex Devane Marick. Her intuition was the only reason it was discovered that Alex was holding Anna hostage as she attempted to fool everyone in Port Charles into believing she was really Anna.
It seems that GH is having Brooklyn Rae Silzer follow in the same footsteps as the actress who portrays her mother: Kimberly McCullough who joined the ABC Soap Opera when she was 9-years-old as Robin Scorpio. Sources reveal how rare it is that one actress would join the series as a child and stay on without rapidly aging the character to fit the storyline.
Outside of General Hospital, Brooklyn Rae Silzer has a few acting project under her belt. She was in a 2016 made-for-tv movie Christmas in Homestead with Taylor Cole (currently portraying the Hollow on The CW’s hit primetime series The Originals) and has two more movies out this year – How to Be A Latin Lover and The Storyteller, where her role is similar to that of Emma. She is a young girl whose love brings healing to a broken family. You can be sure this is just the beginning for this amazing talented young actress.
