Robert Palmer Watkins, the actor who plays Dillon Quartermaine, was informed in August that General Hospital would not be keeping him on contract. Apparently, he assumed that meant he was fired and would be let go, but ABC has yet to confirm that. GH buzz is that he will be dropped to recurring status. His contract expires on October 31. His final scenes will air early December if TPTB plays to write Dillon off the show. We’ll bring you more information on his status when it becomes available.

Debra Strang, who will play Betsy “Mother of James” Franco will appear as Franco’s adoptive mother this week.
As previously reported on CDL, Alla Korot (All My Children, Allie) will appear in an as yet unspecified role. Some GH fans expressed concern on social media that Rebecca Budig has been replaced as Hayden Barnes, this despite Frank Valentini’s hints that she would return down the road.
