General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nathan (Ryan Paevey) will struggle thanks to Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). Honesty isn’t something Dr. O is typically comfortable with. She always finds ways to bend the truth or completely destroy it depending on the situation. Dr. Obrecht tries look out for herself and those closest to her, but she usually just ends up making things worse.
Right now, Dr. O’s adding to Nathan and Maxie’s (Kristen Storms) pre-baby stress. She obviously has excellent reasons for keeping Nathan in the dark about his father, but there could be some unfortunate consequences. Nathan is growing increasingly worried about his child. He’s afraid that something he doesn’t know could affect his son or daughter.
It’s possible that Dr. Obrecht’s deception will lead to some complications. Perhaps there’ll be an inherited illness or other risk that Kim (Tamara Braun) should’ve known about sooner. Even if the baby suffers from something no one could’ve predicted, Dr. Obrecht will still want to help her son. She would do anything to make sure Nathan has a happy life with his kid.
Dr. Obrecht is quite involved in this storyline and there’s a good chance she’ll continue to play a crucial role in the months ahead. Why is that important? Because a baby could be up for grabs! GH fans can’t forget that Nelle (Chloe Lanier) is also expecting a little one. Since Nelle and Maxie will likely give birth around the same time, nobody will be surprised if a child gets stolen.
Based on Nelle’s track record, many viewers suspect that she’ll be the baby thief. That’s certainly an option, but we can’t rule out Dr. Obrecht either. General Hospital spoilers hint that this double-baby extravaganza will come with some bombshells.
If Maxie’s child dies shortly after she gives birth, or has an unfortunate medical condition that makes survival unlikely, how far will Dr. O go to make this right for her dear son? Would she steal Nelle’s baby for Nathan and Maxie? You bet she would! As long as Nathan gets a healthy kid to take home, Dr. Obrecht would justify her actions and walk away content.
