General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Port Charles will be losing some eye candy and a great actor. According to some reliable Twitter sources, GH will soon be down a hunk. The show couldn’t convince this male contract player to stick around, so the departure’s a done deal. Now the show just has to worry about how to write him out.
There’s no final and firm confirmation on this actor’s identity just yet, but there’s some heavy buzz out there to help narrow it down. Although GH fans will hate to lose a potential fan favorite, it’s a reality we must accept. Let’s take a look at a few options and try to determine which actor’s headed out.
For starters, we should talk about Anthony Montgomery (Andre). His storyline has reached a natural conclusion, so it’s possible GH knew Montgomery was leaning toward an exit. They could write Andre out now and it’d make perfect sense.
After everything Andre’s done, prison or death by the mastermind would be fitting. However, General Hospital could keep him around if they make him part of the next phase. Andre could play a crucial role in helping Drew (Billy Miller) recover his memories. This could really go either way.
There’s also been some social media chatter about Ryan Paevey’s (Nathan) possible departure. He just kicked off two major storylines. Nathan has a baby coming with Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and he’s about to learn more about his father. GH could be setting up a solid exit story so Nathan can go out with a bang.
If Nathan’s paternity mystery leads to trouble, it could have heartbreaking results for Maxie. How would she cope if Nathan ended up missing or dead? Of course, there’s a chance that baby drama could usher Nathan out instead. If Maxie loses this little one, their marriage could begin to crumble. Nathan might leave PC to heal his soul and find a new path.
However, GH could always recast Nathan if they wanted to keep the “Naxie” pairing intact. It would just be tough to lose Paevey in the role! Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) is another actor who’s had some buzz around his name as a departure. There was talk of his exit a few months ago, but no official info ever materialized. A farewell announcement could happen eventually.
Michael Easton (Finn) reportedly considered wiggling out of his contract a while back, so he should be included on this list. Still, Easton will get more airtime in the weeks ahead. General Hospital spoilers say Finn and Anna’s (Finola Hughes) storyline is heating up, so maybe Easton will stick around if the material’s good enough.
