General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) quickly figures out that someone is messing with her man Dr Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and she embarks on a vendetta to clear his name. Looks like Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) needs to watch his sneaky back.
It seemed pretty strange that Dr Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) didn’t suspect something from the start with Finn’s drug test. Brad was bad mouthing Finn to Griffin and wasn’t happy that Griffin wouldn’t listen to him trash talk the lizard loving doctor. That was the first red flag.
Yet Griffin still let Brad walk off with Finn’s urine sample knowing how much he dislikes the man. Then when the drug test came back positive for substances, it seems like Griffin should have paused to consider that maybe something wonky was going on in the General Hospital lab.
Think about it. How many tests have been rigged in the General Hospital lab under Brad’s watchful eye? Brad helped Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) fake tests and steal embryos and has also conspired with Britt’s mom Dr Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). Brad is a bad guy.
General Hospital spoilers tell us that when Hayden discovers that Brad had his hands on Finn’s test, she’ll suspect something is up straight away. Brad has provoked Hayden a couple of times with negative comments about Finn so she knows he’s out to get her addicted sweetie.
Finn is already struggling to keep his addiction under control and stay clean, so the last thing he needs is Brad cheating the system and conspiring against him. Hayden is no one to be trifled with since she holds the hospital’s purse strings and has the ear of important people.
Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) both value Hayden’s input and Monica already has her eye on the sneaky and snarky Brad. This revenge play against Finn could wind up costing Brad everything – even Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes).
Lucas made it clear to Brad that he’s with him contingent on Brad cleaning up his act and putting his unethical (and sometimes illegal) shenanigans behind him. General Hospital spoilers tease that this reveal of new scheming to ruin someone’s life – on top of the Finn blackmail – could be enough to make Lucas walk away.
Hayden is still on edge about Finn’s addiction. She doubted he was telling her the truth about staying clean when she noticed he was sweaty – but it seems Finn was legit at the gym working out and not skulking around doing drugs.
Hayden will soon go back to Griffin to ask him about the drug test sample and whether it could have been compromised. That will put Hayden on Brad’s tail and it won’t be long before she figures out what he did to set Finn up for firing for drug use.
From there, it seems this nasty scheming should backfire on Brad and the lab manager could find himself begging to keep his job and looking at a pink slip from General Hospital.
