General Hospital Spoilers: Jake Terrified of Jason’s Original Steve Burton Face – Knows Dad is Helena’s Hit Man [VIDEO]

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for next week reveal Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) is the scarecrow that haunts Jake Webber’s (Hudson West) dreams, but not in the way he thinks. On Monday’s new GH episode, we’ll see Jason and Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) with Jake flipping through a family photo album.

But the photos from before Jake and Jason both went missing have Steve Burton’s face, not Billy’s Miller. When Liz flips to a photo of “old” Jason, Jake begins to tremble visibly and doesn’t want to talk about it anymore. General Hospital spoilers say it seems that Jake hasn’t connected in his mind his father’s old and new faces.

The scarecrow from Cassadine Island is Jason’s old face and the loving father he knows now is Jason’s new face, but it’s not clear if Jake knows it’s the same person. Remember Jake was also told that Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) was his father, so the kid is probably really confused now.

There is no telling what Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) told the kid about “old” Jason on the island and how he was related to Jake. When Jake was taken, the lie was still in place that Lucky was Jake’s dad, but it seems likely that Helena knew the truth about Jake’s paternity.

General Hospital spoilers suggest that Helena might have told Jake that “old” Jason was his real father which would have been doubly cruel since Helena had him terrorizing Cassadine Island and killing people for her. Then when Jake came back to Port Charles and saw “new” Jason, he may not have realized they were the same person.

This is a messy situation and after Jake’s visibly shaken reaction to seeing “old” Jason’s Steve Burton face, Jason can no longer deny the truth. This is not something Franco (Roger Howarth) made up to mess with him. The big bad wolf that’s haunting Jake is his own father, Jason.

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Jason suspects that Jake saw him do bad things for Helena. That means the part of him that Jason put in his past – the violent killer and mob enforcer – is back to haunt him and his son. What can Jason do and how can he explain away the bad things Jake saw him do?

Even if Jason says Helena made him do it, there’s still the question of why he did it. Jason can explain that Helena implanted a microchip in his brain and was mind controlling him, but that’s a hard concept for a little kid to understand.

Jason needs answers about that period of his life but Helena is “dead” as far as we know. As the week goes on, (April 24-28), Jason wonders what else he’s forgotten and what memories are lurking undiscovered in his brain. Jason is devastated that his son is scared of him.

This revelation changes the dynamic between Franco and Jason and Jason opens up more to the idea of Franco working with Jason and now he sees that Jake needed Franco to talk to because he was scared of him. It’s a tough situation that will dominate General Hospital May sweeps.
