General Hospital (GH) spoilers and casting news tease that the ABC soap is throwing another character in the mix. As several storylines wrap up or at least move into other phases, it’s time to kick off some new developments. The show’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, recently took part in a fun Twitter teaser. The video and accompanying tweet revealed that James DePaiva, Kassie DePaiva’s husband, is headed to Port Charles.
Valentini says, “Hey, GH fans. Just when you thought it was safe to go back the hospital…” That’s when James DePaiva removes his glasses and smirks at the camera. One Live to Live watchers might remember DePaiva as Max Holden. The tweet noted that his new GH role is top secret, but the hospital line was a probably a huge clue.
General Hospital buzz suggests that DePaiva may be coming on board as Dr. Jeff Weber. He’s Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and Hayden’s (Rebecca Budig) father, so this could create plenty of opportunities for family conflict. Some summer spoilers back up this idea.
GH viewers can expect Hayden and Liz to be pulled back into each other’s orbit over the next few months. Some issues will emerge for them and those issues could be related to their dad. Other General Hospital spoilers indicate that Hayden’s past will become a factor in her relationship with Finn (Michael Easton).
It sounds like Hayden might be dealing Daddy drama soon. She may have to decide how big of a role Jeff will play in her life as well as the life of his future grandbaby. Of course, Liz’s life will also become more complicated. Things could be especially rough for her since she’s already got so much going on with her kids.
Jake (Hudson West) is finally settling down after the Helena (Constance Towers) nightmare. Unfortunately, it looks like Cameron (Michael Leone) could be the next problem child. Word has it GH may be rapidly aging him so he can be a love interest for Josslyn (Eden McCoy). Liz will undoubtedly have her hands full.
