General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that things are about to get complicated for both Patient Six (Steve Burton) and current Jason (Billy Miller). Sonny (Maurice Benard) warned Patient Six that this would get messy and he’s right about that. GH fans will see plenty of confusion, conflict and sorrow.
Once Patient Six meets the man who’s taken over his life, they can work on solving this mystery. Perhaps Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) will come back to town and help out with some of the technical details. Of course, Franco (Roger Howarth) can offer Betsy’s (Deborah Strang) version of what happened with Jason’s twin.
That’s a great start, but there’ll still be major gaps to fill in. Franco has no idea where Drew ended up as an adult, so this is sure to be tricky. General Hospital has been giving us several clues about Jason’s true identity. They’re certainly making it look like Burton’s Jason is the one and only.
There’ll inevitably be some hostility between the Jasons as this storyline heats up. Some resentment could easily come into play. Miller’s Jason may grow fed up with the situation sooner or later. He might blame Patient Six for turning his life upside down.
Likewise, Burton’s Jason could get frustrated as time goes on. It’s already tough to watch Sam (Kelly Monaco) cozying up to someone claiming to be Jason. Patient Six will undoubtedly be upset if people start suggesting that he’s Drew. Deep down, P6 knows he just has to be the real Jason Morgan.
GH will need some soapy science to explain everything down the road. Once the truth is revealed, that will bring a new set of challenges for the Jasons. If Burton’s Jason is indeed who he claims to be, he could get his friends and family back. He could also return to his old role of helping Sonny (Maurice Benard).
However, there’s a good chance winning Sam back won’t be as simple. She may crave the stability that Miller’s character offers. Plus, she’s fallen for his version over the last few years. How could Sam just dump him after everything they’ve been through?
In other words, both Jasons could come out of this with gains and losses. When everything is finally settled, will the war between them remain? It might be hard to put all the chaos behind them. Still, it’d be nice if GH could form a bond between Jason and Drew someday. These brothers deserve a shot at having a strong relationship.
Is that possible with the messy family drama and feelings for Sam on both sides? Will Drew and Jason ever feel their twin connection? We’ll give you updates as other General Hospital news comes in.
