General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal Julian Jerome (William DeVry) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) both face uncertain futures in Port Charles. This has some wondering if these plots were constructed to coincide with contract renewals since both Maura West and Will DeVry are reported to be on the bubble right now. Will General Hospital lose both these actors in May sweeps?
Ava thinks she’s free of the threat of prosecution for tampering with Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) Lithium meds but General Hospital spoilers say she’s wrong. Dr Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) just realized the pills were half the dosage he prescribed to Morgan. It seems that Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) did sloppy work and got Lithium in the wrong dose to replace the placebos for Ava.
Now that Andre is on the case, things should unravel. Andre will go back and check his records to ensure he wrote the correct prescription and from there, will go back to the General Hospital pharmacy to see if they filled it incorrectly. It may be the General Hospital pharmacy tech that points out it’s a different brand name pill or some other unique identifier. The bottom line is it’s coming.
Ava will soon face her day of reckoning for contributing to Morgan’s death. This would be a very convenient point to dispose of Ava from the storyline if Maura West’s contract is not renewed. General Hospital spoilers tease that Ava could be shipped off to Pentonville and it could be like Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) and we only see him occasionally as a plot point if she’s moved to recurring and off contract.
If General Hospital showrunners can’t reach an agreement with Maura on her contract renewal, they could also move for a permanent solution and have Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) kill Ava for what she did to his son. That still leaves it open for an eventual character return or recast since no one stays dead forever in Port Charles. Resurrections are so commonplace, it’s a bit disturbing.
As for Julian, it seems he’s destined for life behind bars. That’s one way to write the character out if Will DeVry and GH bosses can’t reach a contract agreement. Many General Hospital fans wants Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to be free of the violence of Julian in the former lady lawyer’s life. However, there are some General Hospital spoilers saying that Julian will soon be offered a deal, but don’t get too excited.
The deal might be to plead guilty for a lesser sentence of 10 years instead of life in prison. Julian doesn’t have much to offer to negotiate a “get out of jail free” bargain. With Olivia “Liv” Jerome (Tonja Walker) in an institution for the criminally insane, he can’t even offer to testify against her. General Hospital buzz is that it could be that Will DeVry will be packing up his dressing room soon.
Hardcore Julexis fans will be crushed if Julian is packed off to Pentonville permanently but at this point in the story arc, it’s hard to see how Julian could get out of jail and William DeVry have an ongoing storyline. One possibility could be if Julian agrees to work undercover as a mob informant to take down other gangsters, but that seems a stretch.
With both Julian and Ava, their storylines hit critical points during May sweeps with the truth about Ava’s pill swap coming out and Julian facing the music for his crimes.
