General Hospital Spoilers: Julian Sets Franco Up for Morgan Car Bomb Murder – Will Sonny Kill Former Serial Killer?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Julian Jerome (William deVry) must find someone fast to blame for the car bomb that killed Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig). Will it be Franco (Roger Howarth) that falls prey to Julian’s scheming? Will Franco survive the accusations?

Julian is scrambling on two fronts. First is that he’s trying to cover for Alexis Davis (Nancy Grahn) since he believes that she might have killed Tom Baker (Don Harvey). Julian wants Franco out of the way before he can make any trouble for Alexis. That’s problem number one.

The second issue is Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker). She laid the groundwork for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to be blamed for Julian’s death via car bomb. Only Julian didn’t die, Morgan did. Now Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) are close to the truth.

Olivia wants Jason dead, but Julian refused to kill his son-in-law and tried to bargain with his wicked older sister. On Thursday, January 19, Julian offered Olivia a plan to put a scapegoat in place to blame for the bomb so that Sonny won’t come after her. Olivia agreed to the proposal.

Julian’s henchman was following Franco and is likely the one that bricked the reformed serial killer and threw him into a warehouse where Franco is bleeding and rolled up in bubble wrap. With Franco tucked out of the way, Julian has time to put his plan into place.

If Julian can rig some evidence for the cops to find that points the finger at Franco, there’s still the question of motive. Does Franco hate Julian enough to kill him? Yes. And killing Julian in a way that puts the blame on Sonny would be a win-win if Franco was still a killer.

So what motive would work? Killing Julian would make Sonny the top suspect for the PCPD and Franco dislikes both Julian and Sonny. Franco despises Julian – they fought in the boxing ring over Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) – plus a ton more backstory between these two.

Franco could see Julian’s death as a public service with the ultimate goal of putting Sonny back in Pentonville because he bitterly hates Sonny for stealing Carly. There’s plenty of animosity between Franco and Julian and also Franco and Sonny to set up a plausible motive.

Also, consider that Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) is a terrible cop and always thinks the wrong person is the perpetrator. Some trumped up evidence would easily fool the PCPD who can’t detect their way out of a wet paper bag. Julian’s plan to set up Franco could easily work.

Of course, Julian might have another target in mind, but that’s unlikely. Julian also knows if Franco is arrested for the car bomb, he wouldn’t live to make it to trial. Sonny hates Franco and if he thought the reformed killer murdered Morgan, he would go gunning for him in a heartbeat.

Blaming Franco would be a big victory for Julian. He could get Olivia Jerome off his back, save Alexis from a murder charge, get Franco out of the way, and get Sonny sent to jail for killing Franco. Julian likely sees this plan as the best way to bring peace to his life and save his loved ones.

Julian might even go one step further, considering what Franco did to Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco). Since Julian has kidnapped Franco, he might just kill him and find a way to blame it on Sonny. Julian sees this as a perfect plan, but it won’t work out. How fast will it go wrong?
