General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) rings in the New Year by kissing her long-time love, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Some fans were thrilled, swearing they are soul mates and meant to be, while other GH fans feel she belongs with his twin brother, Drew Cain (Billy Miller), and didn’t see them reconnect at all with the kiss. Jason and Sam joined forces in 2004, when PCPD and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) wanted them to turn against each other and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard); it almost seems odd that nowadays, Sam would want to remove Sonny from her life since he played such an intricate part of it for so long, including being the father of her deceased little girl, Lila McCall.
General Hospital spoilers are not denying there was an intense connection between Jason and Sam, she never judged Jason and his commitment to Sonny. She actually thrived on adventure – often helped out with her own private eye skills. Both Sam and Jason were “adrenaline junkies” and never really seemed to let anything stop them, they lived life by their own rules, even their wedding was done by their own terms.
Remember how they both took off and had a spontaneous marriage at the Noodle Buddha, instead of the wedding their family and friends wanted? THAT was what Sam and Jason were all about, at least back then! Since Jason has returned, they look at each other, there seem to be sparks, but the chemistry seems to be missing. Could those 5 years apart have simply been too long?
General Hospital spoilers tease that Sam has really committed to Drew. Many GH fans like Drew and Sam together. There is no denying that she has chemistry with him. This doesn’t have to do with a job, or them having a child together, or even that she thought he was Jason. Sam genuinely fell in love with Drew, for the man that he is. She has spent 3 years getting to know him and they have chemistry that oozes romance.
Drew and Sam are engaged, have a little girl together and she is standing by his side, knowing that Jason is alive. Drew has fought both sides of her family, the Cassadines and the Jeromes, to ensure her safety. Drew is everything Sam wants and she has made that abundantly clear, even as the Haunted Star left the harbor that night with her so called “soul mate” Jason. Jason is her past, and they were a great couple but Drew is her present and they make a great couple.
