General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) are going to be hauled down to the Port Charles cop shop for questioning. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is already suspicious of why his dad and stepmom were safely out of the warehouse and Ava Jerome (Maura West) was left inside to burn. CarSon could face arrest over this.
It would be horribly ironic if Carly and Sonny wound up arrested for the inferno at the docks while Ava goes free for tampering with Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) mental medication. On Tuesday’s GH episode, May 30, Sonny tried to take Carly home to get cleaned up, but Dante said no way. Instead, he’ll take them to the PCPD and put them in the interrogation room instead. That’s when things take a turn.
General Hospital spoilers for Wednesday, May 31 promise that Dante grills Sonny and Carly on the events of the night and things don’t look good. Ava was at the warehouse of her place of business, it wound up getting burned down, she was unconscious inside and Sonny and Carly were outside unscathed. Considering that Sonny deals violently with his enemies, this might not look good for him.
Sonny and Carly will tell Dante that Ava confessed to tampering with Morgan’s medication and she started the fire herself. That still doesn’t explain how they got out while she was burned up horrifically. Sonny takes a moment to regret his actions. Carly wanted to try and help Ava but Sonny insisted they should worry about themselves.
Sonny was probably right and going back for Ava could have cost them their lives, but to a third party looking at Sonny’s violent history, this seems suspicious. General Hospital fans know Carly is known for revenge, but not for violence. Sonny, however, has been known to take out his enemies and Dante and everyone else in town knows how he feels about Ava.
We learned recently that new DA Garcia, whom we haven’t met yet, wants badly to take down Sonny. Garcia even sent one of her minions to make a stunning offer to Julian Jerome (William deVry) that he could walk free of all his criminal charges. Garcia wanted Julian to provoke Sonny into coming after him so they could arrest him for attempted murder.
The conflagration at the warehouse has given the DA the perfect opportunity to arrest Sonny for attempted murder. It might all come down to what Ava says when she regains consciousness. As of now, Ava is at General Hospital and in critical condition with burns all over her body. She passed out from the smoke and the flames got to her. Dante was told she’s barely hanging on.
If Ava dies, Sonny could face a murder charge. If Ava lives, it could be attempted murder. And Sonny and Carly telling the cops that Ava swapped Morgan’s Lithium for placebos doesn’t help Sonny’s defense. In fact, it could make him look guiltier. Of course, Sonny wants Ava dead for what she did to Morgan, so this warehouse fire could be made to look like an attempt on her life.
The only witness Sonny has to defend him is Carly and she’s lied to defend him before, so she’s not a credible person to help him avoid arrest for attempted murder.
