General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the call Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) made to Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) on Monday’s (April 3) General Hospital episode was very important. Sonny said he had a job for her – and it’s an important one. Diane should be able to charge a premium for all the divorces she’s written for Sonny.
Sonny is not playing apologetic anymore with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). He’s tired of her punishing him all these months for his mistake of sleeping with Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier). It won’t be until next week (April 10-14) that Nelle finally comes clean with Michael Quartermaine (Chad Duell) about her night with Sonny.
By the time Nelle confesses, General Hospital spoilers say it looks like it will be too late for the CarSon marriage. When Sonny gets with Diane, he’ll tell her to prepare divorce papers to make the split with Carly official. This is interesting because Carly just told Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) she’s not ready to divorce Sonny just yet.
Carly tried to explain that she still loves him and you don’t just stop loving someone no matter what. Joss is disgusted because she likes Nelle and now sees Sonny as a bit of a perv who betrayed her mother with a very young woman. Carly will be stunned when she’s served with divorce papers by Sonny.
Sonny made it clear to Carly to forgive him and get past it or they were done for good and he wanted a divorce. He wasn’t kidding around and that’s why he has Diane prepare the divorce docs. Sonny is sick of being Carly’s whipping boy and is calling her bluff. He’s not playing around with her anymore.
Right or wrong, Sonny doesn’t want to be punished anymore and that’s why he’ll soon serve Carly with divorce papers. General Hospital spoilers say Carly will be shocked and then must decide whether to sign them or not. It’s not likely that the papers will be ready before Nelle tells the truth about her night of non-sex with Sonny.
Sonny is done apologizing and once the truth about Nelle comes out, he thinks that totally clears him but it will not in Carly’s mind. The sleeping together is just half the issue. With the physical cheating revealed as non-existent, Carly is still upset about the lying and the dishonest pact he made with Nelle behind her back.
There is nothing to make that sense of betrayal go away. So when Sonny shocks Carly with divorce papers hoping it will stun her into reuniting with him, it may be Sonny that gets the bigger shock when Carly signs them and ends their marriage. This CarSon divorce may happen out of sheer stubbornness.
General Hospital spoilers have already revealed a new love interest for Sonny has been cast – it’s a new lady lawyer named Martina. The divorce is a formality to end Carly and Sonny’s marriage so Sonny and his new lady can get together. Wouldn’t it be a big shock if the new lawyer Sonny falls for is Carly’s divorce lawyer?
