General Hospital (GH) spoilers promise Olivia “Liv” Jerome (Tonja Walker) won’t get away with murdering Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) if Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has anything to say about it. Liv is behind bars soon after treatment for her gunshot wound, but will she survive her imprisonment?
Sonny didn’t want Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) to get her hands dirty killing Liv. He doesn’t want Carly in jail for murder but knew he wouldn’t have time to get rid of Liv and clean up the evidence before the PCPD arrived so he talked Carly out of the gun and prepared for the cops to roll in and take her.
We know Sonny has ridiculous access to the holding cells at the PCPD jail. Remember Sonny came down there to threaten Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise), Julian Jerome (William deVry) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) on separate occasions. Sonny’s got PCPD cops and guards on his payroll.
They are willing to look the other way while Sonny terrorizes prisoners. Sonny promised Liv she would pay in the most painful way possible and when she least expects it. He also threatened to kill Carlos while he was in jail and Carlos was legitimately terrified. That seems to be what Sonny has planned.
But if Liv dies in custody, won’t that reflect back on Sonny? Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine) knows that Sonny has insiders on her staff but she has no idea who it is taking money from Port Charles’ top mobster or how to put a stop to it. If Sonny does come for Liv, will Jordan even care?
The PCPD has a terrible reputation. They never solve crimes. It was Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) that solved the GH killer case and nabbed Paul Hornsby (Richard Burgi). Then it was Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) that solved Morgan’s bomb case.
Those two even defused the bomb and saved the hospital. The PCPD isn’t doing much but sweeping up behind those people that are better detectives than Jordan. When was the last time she got a conviction? Paul confessed and was sent away willingly? Sonny was convicted for shooting AJ and is out.
The only person still behind bars from the many criminals in town is poor Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) who didn’t even do the crime he was sentenced for because the PCPD failed to nab the real shooter hired by Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher). Local law enforcement is a joke.
That means Liv should be very afraid. If Sonny plans to kill Liv painfully, he could poison her food with something nasty that would take her life slowly and in a horrible way. He could also show up often to terrorize her and keep her scared to sleep then finally kill her.
Or Sonny could wait and hope she’s sent to Pentonville where he has lots of contacts that could take her life easily, but will Sonny’s plans work out or will he regret not killing her on the spot. Liv is a nut cake, so she might end up at Miscavige with Heather Webber (Robin Mattson) where she would be harder to kill.
Sonny will enact his plans soon to take out the horrible woman that killed his youngest son, but spoilers indicate he may not succeed. Liv has faked death before and could do it again. Liv could come back to haunt Port Charles later with another revenge scheme.
