General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal the new love in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) life coming on May 2 is the new Port Charles District Attorney. Everyone has been referring to “DA Garcia” in hushed tones and talked about what a tough DA she is – but it seems DA Garcia (Kary Musa) has a soft spot for Sonny.
We know Sonny and Ms Garcia meet next week (May 1 – May 5) at the Haunted Star and their chemistry is electric from the start. Sonny has her in his arms and a lip lock within minutes. Unfortunately for the sexy new DA, she finds out she was making out with the most notorious criminal in the city. That could wreck her career, but Sonny persists.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that one new case that hits the lady DA’s desk will draw her closer to Sonny – and it’s all about Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) and his untimely death. Sonny is close to figuring out Ava Jerome (Maura West) swapped Morgan’s meds which caused his bipolar spiral and led him to steal Julian Jerome’s (William deVry) car to be blown up.
General Hospital spoilers indicate this new information in Morgan’s case will cause the DA to reopen the investigation and Sonny to pressure his new girlfriend to prosecute Ava for contributing to Morgan’s death. Since Olivia “Liv” Jerome (Tonja Walker) is in a mental institution and can’t be punished, Sonny is frustrated. He wants someone to pay.
No doubt Sonny will use all his wiles to get DA Garcia to do as he wants and throw the book at Ava. He’ll push for a serious criminal charge that will send Ava away for a long time. This will ensure Sonny gets rid of Ava for good and leaves baby Avery (Scarola twins) all to him. But will DA Garcia press the case because she thinks she can win or to please Sonny?
General Hospital buzz is that there is no doubt DA Garcia will have to keep her romance with Sonny a secret so it doesn’t ruin her professional life, but with Sonny showing up to her office, pressuring her to prosecute Ava, it won’t be too long before people notice that Sonny and Ms Garcia have more than a legal issue in common. Will this be another woman that Sonny ruins?
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will be involved in the case as well once the revelation about the med swap comes out since Carly always thought something was off about the medication. Carly will be furious when she discovers Sonny is sleeping with the new DA. Part of it is jealousy and the other part is anger that he’s risking the case against Ava.
General Hospital spoilers hint that if Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) gets word that Sonny and Ms Garcia are a hot couple, he’ll bring that up in court and accuse the new DA of malicious prosecution to make her gangster boyfriend happy. That could be the lynch pin in Scotty’s case that gets Ava off on these charges even though she’s quite obviously guilty.
