General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that our favorite Prince, Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) will be returning to Port Charles on upcoming new GH episodes. This is exciting news for GH fans who have missed the incredible talented young actor, since his grandmother, Laura Webber (Genie Francis) sent him off to boarding school. Tweets by Genie Francis and Nicolas J. Bechtel himself confirm this return.
Although it isn’t summer break, it appears Spencer is returning because he will play a vital role in the epic custody battle for his cousin, Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez), between his fairly unknown Uncle Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and his beloved Aunt Lulu Spencer Falconeri (Emme Rylan).
Spencer is always a delight when he is in town, but General Hospital spoilers tell us that it seems like he is about to be put in a very sticky situation by the very person he has trusted the most, his grandmother. General Hospital viewers know that Laura Webber will do anything to ensure her children’s happiness but is she willing to go as far as forcing her young grandson to testify in court?
Just when it seems that Valentin and his new bride, Nina Reeves (Michelle Stafford), are gaining the upper hand in the custody battle, Spencer Cassadine will enter the scene and turn things around! GH viewers heard their attorney, Nora Buchanan (Hillary B. Smith), say she hopes Valentin and Nina have no skeletons that can fall out of their closet; no one could have said it better.
Nevermind the fact that Nina is only the step-mother, but she has led an unstable life since she has woken up from a 20+ year coma; forcing a woman into labor then kidnapping the newborn and fleeing the country. Valentin’s skeletons won’t be any better once Spencer returns to out them! We all know Spencer LOVES to talk!
Spencer Cassadine is the perfect character witness for his aunt Lulu and foil for her opponent – in the sense that the precocious child can attest to the fact that Valentin attempted to kidnap him from his summer camp; which was thwarted by his other uncle, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Spencer is also the perfect one to put on the stand to testify what life is like, not only motherless, but now fatherless – making him the orphan everyone should pity – thanks to Valentin who murdered his father, Nikolas (Nick Stabile) in cold blood!
