General Hospital (GH) spoilers sources reveal Tyler Christopher dropping a huge hint on his Twitter of a return to Port Charles. Tyler Christopher had officially announced his retirement from the ABC soap in September 2016, but now it looks like he is giving fans a glimmer of hope.
Tyler Christopher joined the cast of General Hospital in 1996 where he played both Nikolas Cassadine and Connor Bishop. He quickly became a fan favorite coming to the rescue of his little sister, Lulu Spencer (now played by Emme Rylan). He has played an intricate role within all the prominent families of Port Charles, including the Spencers and Quartermaines.
In 2016, Tyler Christopher won his first Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Prince Nikolas Cassadine, so when it was revealed negotiations had stalled resulting in Christopher leaving the show, many fans were beyond shocked. He was quickly replaced by Nick Stabile on a temporary basis and many had mixed feelings about it all.
Ultimately, Nikolas was supposedly killed by falling into the dark depths below, everyone fearing the worst so when Tyler Christopher posted on his Twitter today that his fans’ love is deeply appreciated after all this time away and to “never say never”, there rumors are running wild. Could General Hospital be working on a plan to return him to the role he originated over 20 years ago?
The Cassadine family has virtually disappeared, now that Nikolas’ son, Spencer (Nicolas Bechtel) is off in boarding school and Helena (Constance Tower) is also believed to be dead, the only Cassadine remaining is Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Bringing back Nikolas could spark a Cassadine war since Valentin is the one who shot him and left him for dead in the first place; there couldn’t possibly be a better time to bring Nikolas back than now.
How do you feel about the possibility of Tyler Christopher reprising his role as Nikolas Cassadine? Be sure to tune into ABC’s General Hospital (GH) to catch up on all the exciting stories unfolding now and check CDL General Hospital (GH) often for updates and news!
Thanks for the continued #GH love after all these months away. Wish I could respond to everyone. Very much appreciated. Never say never.
