General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal what Tyler Christopher has to say about a Nikolas Cassadine recast. Tyler portrayed the role of Nikoas Cassadine and Connor Bishop, on the ABC soap opera General Hospital on and off since 1996. Tyler parted ways with General Hospital after issues came up with contract negotiations during which time he was temporarily replaced by Nick Stabile until Nikolas’ presumed death.
Initially it was rumored and hoped that Tyler Christopher could be returning to the role he originated on General Hospital since Nikolas’ body was never found after his fall into the dark depths below on Cassadine Island after his uncle Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) shoot him.
General Hospital sources continued to give fans hope for Tyler Christopher’s return when Valentin questioned several of Nik’s family members as to whether he was truly dead. But an announcement that came in July devastated GH fans but thrilled NBC’s Days of Our Lives (DOOL) fans when Tyler Christopher signed a contract and joined the oldest daytime drama in an as yet unspecified role.

Honestly who could blame him? He has a huge following, filled with devoted fans who always consider him to be THE Nikolas Cassadine.
Christopher had been a staple actor on General Hospital for a very long time, playing two separate characters and having an epic love story with the now deceased, Emily Quartermaine (Natalia Livingston). He was a character caught between feuding families – The Spencers and the Cassadines, often forced to choose between his obsessive and controlling grandmother, Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) and his adored, but often absent mother, Laura Webber Spencer (Genie Francis).
