General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that the Cassadine Island plot kicks into high gear for May sweeps and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will play a surprising role. Valentin has been lurking in the shadows of the Greek island for years and he knows lots about this mystery.
On the Monday, May 1 GH episode, Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco) hacked into Crichton Clark’s database and found Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) wasn’t checked into the clinic until 2014. This is the General Hospital writers changing the timeline to give Jason time to be on Cassadine Island making trouble.
Jason now knows he was there working for Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) but what he doesn’t realize is there are answers closer than Greece. General Hospital spoilers know that Valentin is right there in Port Charles and knows a lot about Jason’s time with Helena but Jason isn’t asking the right questions.
When Jason came to Wyndemere to talk to Valentin about the scarecrow, Valentin pretended to be helpful and said he wouldn’t want any child to be stuck with Helena. Valentin even invited Jason to go explore Cassadine Island if he wanted to, but that was a carrot Valentin dangled for a reason.
General Hospital spoilers indicate Valentin has minions all over the Greek island and has set a trap for Jason. Valentin knows exactly what Jason was doing as Helena’s pet assassin and there’s a reason Valentin hates Jason – and it’s not about the incident last year with Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel).
Helena has long said Valentin was the only Cassadine she was ever scared of and said he was the worst of the bunch. Helena saw Valentin as a threat and when she had access to Stone Cold Jason as her personal killer – GH buzz says it’s very likely she sent Jason to kill Valentin. That’s something he can’t forget.
Back when Valentin knew Jason, he had his Steve Burton face, so when he saw him on Cassadine Island last year, he wouldn’t have realized immediately that Jason was the guy Helena sent to kill him. But once Valentin was in Port Charles and getting to know everyone in town, he put two and two together.
General Hospital viewers know Valentin isn’t one to let go of grudges and since GH spoilers hint that Jason tried to kill Valentin for Helena, he won’t take any chances. Valentin might be afraid that Jason’s mind control programming could return and he might come after him again. Valentin survived one attempt on his life, but maybe not another.
However, Valentin also can’t take care of Jason in Port Charles because he’s pretending to be a law abiding citizen. But if Valentin encourages Jason to go to Cassadine Island and has his minions kill Stone Cold while he’s back in Port Chuck with an alibi, it’s perfect.
Jason thinks he’s going to Cassadine Island to save Jake by uncovering secrets of the past, but what Jason might uncover is his own messy past and someone ready to kill him for the sins of those missing years.
