General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Vanessa Marcil (ex-Brenda Barrett) could be poised for a comeback. Thanks to an Instagram post, we know that Marcil has some big news to share. She intends on keeping her fans in the dark for a couple weeks, but the wait could be worth it. Many GH viewers are hoping this means Marcil is returning to Port Charles.
Of course, General Hospital would need a good reason to bring Marcil back. They just might have one since Oscar (Garren Stitt) still needs a mother. There’s plenty of speculation floating around about Brenda being the mystery mom. If that’s the case, we’d better brace ourselves for some craziness!
Once Oscar’s mother enters the picture, the show can concentrate on the next bombshell. General Hospital spoilers indicate that Oscar’s father will be revealed down the road. Since Oscar doesn’t know much about his dad, his mom will have to expose this man’s identity and provide more details.
Since there’s growing buzz about potential Mama Brenda, let’s consider the role she might play in this storyline. General Hospital spoilers suggest that Carly (Laura Wright), Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Josslyn (Maurice Benard) are in for a shock. As if Brenda’s possible involvement wasn’t stunning enough, another familiar face could be tossed in the mix.
GH spoilers state that there’ll be a surprising Steve Burton (ex-Jason Morgan, Patient Six) link in this hot plot. Will Patient Six turn out to be Oscar’s father? It seems likely since almost every character will be affected by Burton’s return. This is a nice way to bring Oscar into the action and add some complications for the people he’s connected.
Port Charles residents will have questions once Patient Six shows up. There will obviously be doubts about his identity. If Brenda claims Jason or Drew is Oscar’s father, the identity issue will become even more important. They’ll have to figure out which one’s which if they want to confirm who Oscar’s dad is.
It’s easy to imagine a scenario where Brenda reveals Jason is Oscar’s father and Burton is determined to be the real deal. That means classic Jason will still have someone to bond with if Sam (Kelly Monaco) rejects him. It sounds like a great route to take.
