General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sam (Kelly Monaco) will battle guilt as Jason (Billy Miller) fights for his life. While she awaits word on Jason’s condition, Sam will have plenty of time to think about how he ended up in this situation. She’s been consumed by her fears about losing Jason and now she’s facing that possibility.
Sam was dealing with toxoplasmosis when she went after Sonny (Maurice Benard), but there was a reason her concerns manifested like that. She was certain Jason would never be safe in Sonny’s dangerous world. However, Sam should really start thinking about her own role in Jason’s crisis. Many GH fans are arguing that Sam isn’t entirely blameless here.
This was Jason’s final attempt to break free from Sonny and his mob ties. Part of Sam hated the peril, but another part of her understood that Jason couldn’t leave Sonny without backup. In the end, Sam’s worries got the best of her. She didn’t trust that Jason could handle himself when the confrontation got dicey.
If Sam had just let Jason do his thing, he probably could’ve stopped the threat. Instead, Sam appeared and Jason lost the upper hand. His only goal became saving Sam, even if it meant putting his own life on the line. Jason had an important choice to make. He knew he had to protect Sam or die trying.
It was sweet of Jason to take care of Sam and we all appreciate his heroic efforts. Nevertheless, this whole incident might’ve been avoided without Sam’s interference. She undoubtedly spooked the shooter and gave him an advantage over Jason.
Just before Jason was wheeled away, he managed to mutter out an apology to Sam. Jason feels like he let her down, but maybe she let him down as well. This couple will need to get on the same page once all of this is over. They need to trust each other and find a way to put the past behind them.
Of course, that could be tough once Steve Burton’s character comes strutting into Port Charles! General Hospital spoilers hint that even more drama will hit for “JaSam.” They’ll have a lot on their minds in the coming months. Let’s hope they can figure it all out.
