General Hospital Spoilers: Week of January 1-5 – Fierce Faceoffs, Deadly Danger and Scary Suspicions

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of January 1-5 tease that the ABC soap will start the new year off right. There is no new GH episode on New Year’s day, Monday, January 1. We’ll see plenty of romance, drama and excitement in the first episodes of 2018. First, Carly (Laura Wright) will pay the price for scheme against Drew (Billy Miller). She’ll face major backlash and a warning to back off for good.

Jason (Steve Burton) definitely won’t be happy about his bestie’s actions. Sam (Kelly Monaco) will likely put Carly on notice as well. Despite continued “JaSam” sparks, Sam will make it clear that Drew’s her man. Her feelings could shift pretty soon, but her wedding plans will move forward for now.

Meanwhile, Anna (Finola Hughes) will wiggle out of a tricky Cassandra (Jessica Tuck) situation. She’ll eventually get some shocking news from Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) and head to the ICU. Looks like poor Valentin will need plenty of doctoring after the beating and interrogation he gets at the hands of Cassandra and her henchman on Friday’s new GH episode, December 29.

Other General Hospital spoilers say Griffin (Matt Cohen) will try to get in touch with Ava (Maura West). She’ll probably be shutting him out over her suspicions. Ava thinks Griffin and Kiki (Haley Erin) are having an affair behind her back, but that’s far from the case. They’re actually cooking up a nice surprise, but Ava will continue to battle concerns and insecurities.

While Griffin ponders Ava’s bizarre behavior, Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will worry about Nathan (Ryan Paevey). She begged him to drop his father questions, but his search for answers will press on. GH spoilers reveal that Nathan’s problems will get worse before they get better.

Amy (Risa Dorken) will come through for Maxie (Kirsten Storms) when she delivers the DNA test results, but will they be accurate? Maxie will blab to Dr. O about something important, so there are no guarantees. Across town, Franco (Roger Howarth) will grow increasingly confused. It’s possible Betsy (Deborah Strang) will send another message or some sort of reminder from the past will surface.

Franco may once again wonder if he knows the truth. The issue of that fateful day on the stairs will come back into play sooner or later. Franco could be his own worst enemy if he can’t leave this alone. Elsewhere, Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) will get a call from Jason. He’ll happily pitch in on the next phase of the traitor hunt.

It looks like General Hospital has a great week in store for us. We’ll give you updates as other GH details emerge. Stick with the ABC soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest General Hospital spoilers, updates and news.
